Lauren placed a framed photograph of her and her family on the shelf of her new art studio. She did major in art, after all, it seemed appropriate.

Her house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a decent sized kitchen, a basement, and a modern backyard. Her home isn't that big. Its... average. I mean, she is living alone so why would she need a big house? She's fresh out of college with a decently paying job, so she thought she'd treat herself. And now that she isn't overwhelmed with homework, essays, and going to classes- she's ready to settle down.

Now that she was done setting up the supplies she had for her studio, she walked down her stairs to grab a glass of water. As she sat against the counter, she stared out into what was supposed to be her family room.

She imagined how gorgeous her house was going to be. She didn't need an interior designer. She knew exactly what she wanted and where she wanted it. Now all she needs to do is buy everything.

But for now, Lauren just wanted to lay on her air mattress and eat pizza. She picked up her phone and called Pizza Hut. Once she placed her order, she walked to her backyard where she was met with the delicious smell of fresh air.

It was around six o'clock so the sky was still bright, but the effects of night were slowly creeping in. Her backyard wasn't huge, but it was equipped with an in-ground pool, a small shed, and a lounging area for when she wanted to tan. It had an area with grass also for other outdoor items. She was living on her own so anything bigger seemed unnecessary.

After sitting on the steps of her deck for a while, she finally heard her doorbell ring as her stomach started to growl. Lauren grabbed her wallet from the kitchen table and walked towards the door. She opened up the door to find a girl with brown hair and a cute smile holding a pizza carrier.

"Hi there! Your total is seven dollars and fourteen cents," the delivery girl said. Lauren handed her the money with a smile and took the pizza from the girls hand politely. "Bye the way, I just wanted to say welcome to the neighborhood. I actually live right next door to your left. If you need any help unpacking or anything just let me know."

"Wow, what a coincidence. Its nice to meet you..." Lauren trailed off once she realized she didn't learn her name yet.

"Oh, my name's Camila. Camila Cabello," she offered her hand to Lauren. The taller brunette shook to hand gently and soaked in the name.

"Nice to meet you, Camila. I'm Lauren Jauregui."

"That's such a pretty name! It suits you well," Camila complimented. She wanted to say something about her piercing eyes but she didn't want to come on to strong. She quickly glanced down at her watch and frowned. "I better get going. I have a few more deliveries to make. It was nice seeing a new face finally. I'll see you around!"

Before Lauren could even say anything, the delivery girl was sprinting to her car with a "Pizza Hut" sign on the top of it. The new neighbor laughed and closed her front door. She turned and walked up the stairs of her house to her bedroom. She put her pizza on her mattress turned on her laptop to play Netflix. She turned on OITNB and grabbed a slice of pizza.

When she finished her fourth episode of the night, she noticed that it was about midnight. She shut her laptop and walked downstairs to put the leftover pizza in the fridge. As she walked past her window, she turned to see Camila washing her dishes in the sink. From her view, she could see Camila was wearing a tank-top with her hair down. Her hair was long and flowed with curls. The window was far enough from the sink that Lauren could see most of her body. She let her eyes fall down her body until it reached-

Upon realizing what she was doing was borderline creepy, she shook herself out of the trance and grabbed a cup from her cabinet she organized earlier that day. She walked to the fridge and got some water from the dispenser. She didn't realize how thirsty she was until she went to take another sip but was met with an empty cup. She refilled it and chugged it down.

She placed the cup in the sink and walked back out into her backyard again. Lauren also had her backyard figured out. She saw this cute layout on Tumblr that she wanted to try out. She could picture a hammock between the two thick trees, a cute area where she could read and drink her coffee in the morning or eat her breakfast and admire the sky, and a place where she can-

"Hey neighbor," a small voice interrupted her thoughts. Lauren jumped at the suddenness. She wasn't expecting anyone else to be out here this late at night. She looked over to see Camila leaning against the fence. "Whoa, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."

Lauren chuckled and held her chest. "Its okay, honestly, I'm fine. I just wasn't expecting that at all. You really got me there."

"So whats got you up so late, Ms. Jauregui?"

"Well I could ask you the same thing, Ms. Cabello." Lauren smirked as she walked towards the fence dividing the two yards.

"True, but I ask you first."

"Fair enough. I was watching Netflix and decided to get some fresh air before going to bed. Now what about you?"

"I just home from work about an hour ago. I showered and did the dishes so I wouldn't wake up to them tomorrow morning," the smaller girl responded with a grin. "I locked my backdoor when I noticed you sitting out here. I wanted to make sure you weren't sleepwalking or something."

Lauren threw her head back laughing at the thought of herself walking in her sleep. "Oh my god, that would be hilarious!"

Camila chuckled as she watched Lauren laugh. It felt nice to have someone laugh at her jokes for once (even if it wasn't really a joke at all. "I don't know what I would've done if you were. Isn't it, like, dangerous to wake up someone who's sleepwalking?"

"Hm," Lauren pondered. "I've never really thought of that. Maybe?"

"Well, I definitely know the next thing I'm googling."

Lauren giggled again, but was interrupted with a big yawn that escaped her mouth. "Damn, I guess its past my bedtime. Twenty-five is not being nice to me at all."

"Please, I'm twenty-four and I feel the same way." Camila was happy to hear someone around her age lived right next door to her. All she ever saw was elderly people walking in her neighborhood. "But I'll let you go to bed now. Goodnight Lauren."

Lauren smiled at the girl and started backing away from the fence. "Goodnight Camila. Sweet dreams."

Both girls walked back into their individual homes. They were glad to be living next to someone with similar ages and kindness.

Both girls hoped they could be friends soon.

I have yet to figure out how I want to have this story play out. Obviously I have a few ideas, but they could always change. But I hope you all enjoy this story cause I'm pretty excited about it (:

As for updates, I don't know how often I'm gonna be able to update. I promise I'm going to try my best to update at least once a week but don't be mad if that doesn't happen. I still have softball and no offense, I have a social life (and they don't know that I write these so I can't really say "yo I have to update my wattpad story that I'm writing about two girls who aren't actually dating but I'm delusional as hell and-" yeah you get the point).

Soooo yeah. For the first time ever, I'm giving out my snapchat and tumblr if you guys want to add me (: psa- if you follow my tumblr, its very gay and for lack of better word- explicit. So beware! Don't make fun of my snap username either cause I made it in middle school.
