"Lo, wake up." Camila shook the older girl up. Inferring from the dimly lit sky and the cold breeze from lack of sunlight, they musti have fell asleep on the blanket while they were talking about their childhoods and other nostalgic topics.
"Shit, what time is it?"
The younger of the two grabbed her phone, but when she pressed the home button, the screen never lit up. "I think my phone died. Weird, it was half charged when we fell asleep."
"Damn. Okay, lets clean this all up and head back inside."
After picking up all the leftover food and blankets, they walked into Lauren's house to find a bigger mess than they left.
Pillows feathers and markings were all over the floor, the walls were littered with writing and different shapes. Some if the words were "home-wrecker" and "bitch," the rest of the words were even more profanity and other nonsense.
"Okay, literally what the fuck happened." That was all Lauren could utter. She stared in complete awe and frustration. Assuming the words, she knew exactly who had done this.
"Laur..." Camila was also at a loss for words. She had no idea what to say to make this better, and she had a feelings words weren't what her friend needed at the moment.
"I'm going to fucking kill her, Camz."
"Lo, cmon, you know she isn't worth it."
Lauren dropped the blankets and empty food containers on the counter of what looks like her kitchen, but a stranger most likely wouldn't be able to tell due to the clutter its under.
"Do you see all of this? I mean, at least its not so bare now.." She trailed off, still unable to find the words to describe the horror going on in her head.
"We can clean all this up. We need a lot of trash bags, some paint, and-"
"I think I want to do this on my own for right now."
"Wait, what?"
"Your ex-girlfriend trashed my house, Camz. While we were sleeping. And I'm going to address the elephant in the room, there was no way we slept through this. There's broken shit everywhere. We had to have heard it."
"I know. I have no idea," Camila's brain felt like it wasn't working. Everything was slow and her judgement was off. She felt like she had just drank a whole bottle of wine in seconds. Then a thought came to her mind. "Wait, you don't think we were.. you know?"
"We were what?"
"Drugged.."
"Are you saying I'd drug you?" Lauren asked slightly defensively.
"No, no. I'm saying do you think Ashley would've drugged us?"
"How would she have?"
"I don't know, Lauren. I'm just trying to make sense of all of this!"
"You don't need to raise your voice at me. I'm just as confused as you are."
Camila sighed and rubbed her temples. Her head started to hurt even more. Just the mere action of thinking hurt severely. "I'm sorry. This is just frustrating. Whether or not we were drugged, she still broke in and trashed your place. This is all my fault."
"No, don't even think that. This was all her doing. You could've have known this was gonna happen."
"Still. She's my crazy ex and I have a feeling this was because I said no to management."
