"Lauren, did you get hamburger buns?" Ally asked as she set the grocery bags on the counter.

"Yep they're in the pantry. Where is Normani?"

"She's putting the drinks in the cooler so we don't have to go back and forth into the garage for drinks. I was in the wine mood for I got a few bottles in case you wanted some too. I got the kind we would sneak into the dorms way back when."

Lauren laughed at the flashbacks of their college times. There were countless times she wanted to smack herself for drinking too much with the shorter girl. That's what she gets for trying to keep up with her pace. "I might get into that tonight. I just got beer for now."

"Sounds good. So, is your neighbor here yet?" Ally wiggles her eyebrows suggestively which made the Cuban roll her eyes. It was only two-thirty, so Camila isn't even off of work yet.

"Nope. She's still at work for all I know. She'll be here later though with her friend. I swear, if it's her girlfriend, I will literally kick her out. From what she told me, she's a total bitch."

"Don't call people names, Laur." Ally scolded her as Normani entered through the backdoor.

"Dang. She's not even here for five minutes and she's mothering you. So who's the bitch?"

Laughing as Ally smacked her friends shoulder, Lauren shrugged and shook her head. "My neighbor's girlfriend. You'll meet Camila later when she gets off of work. They were arguing so loud last night I could hear them from my room. It actually woke me up. I think she threw something on the ground. We talked last night but I didn't want to push her to talk about it too much. They've only been dating for a couple months, too."

"Damn, girl has a rough relationship at two months already. Sounds toxic," Normani frowned in pity. No one deserved that kind of love.

"But who are we to jump to conclusions. We don't know both side nor do we have the right to interfere. Let her handle things on her own," Ally reasoned, and she was totally right. They knew little to nothing about Camila. Lauren knew the most, but even that was limited information.

Lauren sighed. She didn't want to her be logical, but she always was. "You're right. I won't push her to talk about it. I'll wait for her to talk to me- well, that's even if she ever talks to me about it. I'm trying to be friends with her, so that might not come till way later."

"Good, now lets drink. I've been sober for far too long." Normani stood up and grabbed a cold bottle of wine and a Bud Light Lime for Lauren. The afternoon had just begun for the trio.

Not long after Lauren's second beer and the other girl's second glass of wine, Camila and her friend walked through their connecting gate into the green-eyed girl's backyard.

"You must be Camila! And you must be her friend," Ally greeted them from the pool. After their first drink, they all decided to take a dip in the pool.

"Yeah that's me," Camila smiled at them and turned to the tall blonde standing next to her. "This is Dinah Jane. She's a good friend of mine from middle school."

"Its nice to meet you, Dinah. These are my friends from college, Ally and Normani," Lauren introduced them. Both girls waved to the duo and smiled politely. "Are you guys gonna hop in? Its like bath water, I kid you not."

"Um, in a second probably. I'm gonna make a drink first. Do you mind if I use your kitchen or should I just make them out here?" Camila asked as she held up a back with what looked to be vodka and a liter of pink lemonade."

"You can use my kitchen, but I would suggest making it out here if you're getting in the pool. It would just make it easier so you don't have to go into the cold air conditioning. There's ice in the cooler you can use."
