My power has been out for a couple days and my parents killed me for using so much data so sorry for the late update!!!
"Ally!" Lauren squealed as she pulled the shorter girl into a hug.
Ally was her old roommate back in college. They grew close in their four years, so much that it took them ten minutes to say their final goodbyes (even though it wasn't forever but to them it seemed like it).
"Laur! Oh my gosh, how are you?"
"I'm doing pretty good to be honest. I just moved into this house a couple days ago so excuse some of the boxes. I went shopping yesterday to add to the interior design. I still have a long way to go obviously."
"Well its beautiful already, Lauren, really." Ally smiled genuinely. She was proud of her friend. So far she was doing everything she said she would do after college. Lauren sat up for hours telling her about how she wanted her future to pan out. This is one of the achievements.
"Thank you, Ally. How is Troy? You guys are still together right?"
"Yes we are. He's doing great. He just landed a acting job actually. He's been working so hard to get noticed, and it finally paid off."
"Oh my god, that's awesome! Tell him I'm happy for him. I know it was always his dream to be an actor. Is he starring in any movies soon?" Lauren showed her to the living room and they sat on the couch. They both made themselves comfortable before Ally asked the inevitable.
"So. What do you do for a living now?"
"Well, I sell my paintings. I do have one of my paintings in an art gallery in downtown Miami, but I also sell them to retail stores and make a profit out of that. It helps now that I can have a whole room dedicated to my painting instead of a cramped dorm. I'm thinking of getting a second job to support my income though. I did minor in criminology, so I was thinking of becoming a parole officer or something of the sorts."
"That's really good, Lauren! I'm so proud of you. You're doing everything you wanted in life after college. You have the house, you have the job, but you're missing something."
Lauren rolled her eyes and chuckled. "Ugh, I know. I'm missing the girl. I just haven't had the time to really put myself out there, you know?"
"C'mon Lauren, that's what you said in college. You're free now! Go live your life! And not to mention the fact that I saw your neighbor in her driveway. She's hot! What are you doing just waiting around?"
"Ally, I've had a couple conversations with her. Its no big deal. I mean, yeah she's cute. I won't deny that at all, but I doubt she's into girls like that." Lauren shook her head in disappointment. But even so, she knew nothing about the girl other than the fact that she works at Pizza Hut and she has one of the best bodies shes ever seen.
"Where's the confident Lauren I knew?" Ally scoffed and crossed her arms over her chest.
"She turned twenty-six, Ally. I'm not as young as I used to be. Right now I think we're just on our way to being friends. That's it."
"Whatever you say, Laur. Can't blame me for trying though."
Lauren patted the shorter girl's thigh in appreciation. "I know, Als. Thanks for trying, but I don't even know if she likes girls romantically. I don't really know anything about her at all in the first place. I think we're just going to be friendly neighbors, maybe even friends."
"Well if that's what you're comfortable with, then so be it. I still think you guys would look cute together." Ally checked her watch and noticed that she needed to pick up Troy soon. "Oh shoot, I've got to head out. Thank you for the invite despite not getting much time to talk. It was so nice seeing you again!"
Lauren reached down and hugged the older girl. "No problem. You know you're always welcome here. Tell Troy I said hi for me."
"Will do, bye Lauren!"
The green-eyed girl walked Ally to the door for her. Before She closed the door, Ally sneaked in a kiss to Lauren's cheek before walking to her car.
"Good luck, Lauren! Be confident!" Ally called over her shoulder as she reversed out of the driveway. She threw a final wave and she was gone.
Lauren giggled and went to go back inside when she saw a figure in her peripheral vision. She looked over to see Camila taking out her trash. The younger girl looked over and waved. Lauren smiled and waved back. As Lauren thought about walking over there to start a conversation, a car pulled into Camila's driveway. Lauren watched a girl get out of the car and run up to Camila.
She smiled as Camila ran to the girl and hugged her. What she wasn't expecting is for Camila to give the girl a passionate kiss on the lips.

Sorry for the shorter chapter!! My power is still out and my parents are about to strangle me fort using the data. Hopefully the next update will be sooner. My power should be coming back on soon.
Another PSA, I'm going to my last softball tournament next Wednesday and then I leave for a family vacation straight from there. I'm going to update before I leave but then I won't be able to update for some time. Probably not more than a week though.
So who do you think the girl is? A little hint: she's a hottie.
Until next time!!
