Ella's P.O.V
When we finally let go of each other for the second time, there was an awkward silence that filled the room. It was broken by his voice, calm and unaffected by the unsteadiness that had just passed through the both of us.
"Ella," he said "I have been unsure about you for the past 8 years of my life," he had my full attention. "but never in my life have I ever been more sure about a someone as I am about you. That tiny crush I mentioned last night. While you were out, my entire life flashed before my eyes. I saw my future, too. We were together. I always thought I hated you. But it turns out, that tiny crush never went away. I have loved you since then, and my love for you grows more and more everyday." I could tell he was on the verge of tears, so I did the only thing I could think of. I stood on my tiptoes and kissed his cheek.
Jake's POV
She stepped back and blushed, as did I.
"I...didn't know you felt that way..."she trailed off.
"This is all happening so fast." I looked down at my feet, scared of what she might say next.
"Well, I don't mind, and quite frankly, I wouldn't mind if it went a little bit faster. But that's a conversation for a later time. We need to work on this project. Says here that we're free to do anything." she stated, rather confidently.
"Wanna watch Netflix?" I asked, too flustered to say anything else in fear of saying the wrong thing.
"Yeah, sure." she answered. She grabbed the WiiU remote off of the TV console and changed the input so that the WiiU screen was displayed across the TV. She clicked on Netflix and told me to pick. I ended up going with American Horror Story, her favorite. I may have hated her, but that didn't stop me from knowing things about her. She grabbed a blanket from the closet by the front door. Then the room went pitch black aside from the small amount of sunlight streaming in. The TV turned off. Then, we heard the sirens.
A/N Sorry for the short chapter! Also sorry bc this chapter kinda sucks. Oh, and sorry for the cliffhanger (I'm just really sorry ab everything.) I'm suffering from a mild case of writers block but I'll still update for you guys.
