Jake's P.O.V
I looked over at her and caught the last few seconds of her sideways stare-down. Why her? I thought. Before I could stop it, my hand shot in the air.
      "Yes, Mister Parkson." Mrs.Hall said.
"Can I please switch partners?" I inquired, clearly annoyed. Ella's eyes gleamed with hopefulness for a split second.
"No, you may not. I have assigned your partners because I want to see how well you are able to work together with the person you despise the most. This is of the utmost importance to the project and, after all, this is psychology.
Ella's P.O.V
I immediately cast my eyes downward, all hope lost.
"Now students, you might be wondering what the project is all about. Each partner will treat the other as well-regarded siblings. No fighting and otherwise. You must spend time with each other, 6 hours a day, to be exact. You must also follow the guidelines on the sheet provided on your desk. You must be kind, generous, loving, and treat each other with the utmost respect.
And yes, you have to mean it." She glared at Jake. "Any questions?" The class was silent. "Alright then. Class dismissed."
I packed my book bag angrily and attempted to storm out into the hallway, but not before Mr.Oh-So-Smooth could catch me by my backpack. I spun around.
"What do you want, Jake?" I spat out rather angrily.
"Look. I don't like you either. But my grades are slipping, and you heard Mrs.Hall. My house, 4 o'clock. See you there, Princess." he said before he blew a kiss. He knew I hated it.
I opened my mouth, but before I could say anything, he was gone, nothing but a cloud of his cologne where he was standing not a second ago. I stormed out of the classroom and down the hallway, seething with rage. I hate him.
