I tried my level best to stop him.
I argued with him. .threatened him. . begged him. nothing seemed to work. He was determined to join the army. He loved his country and wanted to fight for it. It seemed as if he was ready to give up his life.
I didn't want to lose him. He was the only person I had in the world. Raymond was the only man I loved.No matter how many times he promises to return, I didn't believe that he could.
Both of us knew that if he loses his life, so will I.
