Mesmerized.. Ecstasy..

"Oh my god! Is she gonna be okay?"

"Cool down, Miss Johnson. Miss Cooper just had a panic attack, she'll regain consciousness in some time."

"I hope so..She looked really terrified when she ran out of the school."

"Usually, panic attacks include claustrophobia, that might be the reason why she needed the open space." A cool and composed voice explained.

The fog in my mind started to clear a bit, I started returning to reality.

The first thing that popped in my mind was, who is he?

The one with the dark blue eyes. All I remember was...when I opened my eyes, there he was- with the eyes of my dreams. I always completely taken by them and I felt something stirring inside me. The words came out of my mouth, "Raymond.."

I could see the smile appearing on his lips..for some strange reason, it made me smile too.

"Sandra,"

"I've waited for you too long."

My eyes fluttered open.

"Oh Christ! You are awake! Thank god!" Mia gasped.

"Where is he? Who is he?"

"Who are you talking about?"

"Blue eyes.."

"What? Are you dreaming? Are you with me, Sandy?"

I finally focused on Mia. She looked panicked and flustered.

"What happened Mia? I can't remember anything."

"I should ask the same thing to you, Miss Cooper. All of a sudden , you get all weird and start muttering and the next moment I find you running out of the school. After I asked every soul in this school about you, someone informed me that you are admitted in the infirmary. I almost got a heart attack when I heard that."

"Oh."

"Seriously, Sandy? What happened? What triggered the panic attack?"

"It wasn't a panic attack."

"Then what was that?"

"I..don't know."

She looked at me for some time and then said, "Your mom was called a few minutes ago. She's on her way."

"WHAT!"

"Uh-oh..bad news?"

"She's gonna take me to psycho-freak Beth!!"

"I'm glad you are back." She giggled. "Though, I would love to know about this Beth person, I've got to leave, or my employer is gonna kick me out of her music shop."

" Wait, you work in a music shop?"

"Only job I can handle. " she shrugged. She waved at me and was about to leave when I asked her, " Who admitted me, Mia ?"

She shook her head. " Nobody knows. Apparently, you were lying on this bed when the nurse came back from her lunch break."

"Oh. All right."

I laid back and closed my eyes.

Raymond.

The nurse came in and smiled at me, " Oh, you're awake. Your mother will be here any moment. I have prescribed a psychia-"

"I didn't have a panic attack , ma'am. I don't need a psychiatrist."

"Are you sure? Then why were you unconscious? Why was your pulse high? Why were you sweating profusely?"the nurse looked at me curiously.

"I-I don't know. But I am sure it wasn't a panic attack. Believe me ma'am, I had enough of those to know the symptoms."

"So you don't think it's a relapse?"

"Definitely not."

"Alright. I strongly recommend you to take complete bed rest today. And if you don't feel any better, don't come tomorrow."

I nod my head, impatient to get out of the dispensary.

A few moments later, my mom burst in, looking apprehensive. She rushed on to me and started, "We are going to go see-"

"NO! " I yelled. " I was just dehydrated. Right, miss?" I turned to the nurse, pleading with my eyes to play along.

She seemed to get the hint and replied, " Y-Yeah. She just needs to rest the whole day."

Mom looked at me in suspicion for a minute. When she saw my blank expression, she said, "Alright, then. Are you sure you don't want to visit  the doctor?"

" No. I am absolutely fine, Mom. " I jumped out of bed, overexcited to convince her. The sudden movement made me dizzy, and I almost fell back . Luckily, my mom didn't notice that.

I totally need to get my head straight by tomorrow.

As I was walking along the corridor, all the students gathered together and started whispering. Obviously, my brief stint of weakness had turned into a topic of gossip. Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Emily and the Skimpy Skirts giggling and whispering. When Emily noticed my gaze on her, she smirked and started pretending to faint.

How mature.

As I neared the laughing girls, I called out, " You can do better, Barbie doll !" and smirked back at her. That wiped the obnoxious grin out of her face. I was mentally patting myself when I heard someone clearing her throat.

Oh hell. Mom.

I turned around, half fearing for a lecture on peace and harmony when I heard an unexpected  question, " Was that worth it?"

I nodded my head. " Totally, mom."

" Okay, then. I won't meddle in your matters."

I grinned, appreciating her decision.

As I passed through the teacher's room, an assistant informed me to get the leave consent from the headmistress.

As I knocked on the headmistress's door..I heard a familiar voice saying 'Come in!'

No..It can't be..

"It's a pleasure having you back in the defaulters list, Miss Cooper." Mrs Emerson said, with no hint of pleasure in her expression.
