Chapter 9;

Alex's POV
The doorbell rang and Blue started to bark. I set my mug of coffee on the counter and walked to the door.

"Into bed Blue."

He did as he was told and backed away from the door. I unlocked it and opened it up to see Emily. She smiled and did her shy wave and I smiled.

"Hey Em, what are you doing here? It's freezing come in."
"Uhm I kind of needed a favour. Only if you don't mind."
"Not at all."

I opened the door wider for her and she took a step in. I closed it again and turned to look at her.

"How did you get here?"
"The bus."
"You know you could've called and I would've collected you."
"Oh yeah, I never thought of that."

I laughed at her stupidity and led her into the kitchen. She sat on the stool by the island and I grabbed a mug and put coffee into it and handed it to her.

"Thanks."
"So, what can I do for you?"
"I need you to bring me to the court house."
"Jesus what do you need there?"
"Promise me you won't tell Ash. Actually don't tell anyone at all. Okay?"
"I promise Em."

She got up off the stool and walked over to me and hopped onto the counter next to me. And so she did. She told me all about her plans and what not. To say I'm happy is an understatement.

"Oh Em she'll love it. Let's go!!"

Ali's POV
It's finally Christmas Day. My first Christmas with Emily. Our first Christmas as a family. I think Ash is way more excited than I am because she's making sure everything is perfect. I rolled over and saw it was half 9 in the morning and decided to get out of bed. I put on my dressing gown and slippers and walked out of the room and down to Emily's. I opened the door and saw her sound asleep in bed. Is miles and walked over and sat on the bed next to her. I leaned down and kissed her forehead and ran my fingers through her hair. She groaned and snuggled closer into me.

"What time is it?"
"Half nine."
"Is there a reason I'm up the early?"
"Well it's our first Christmas together and I wanted it to be special. You have ten minutes to get up before I get Ash."

She groaned and got out of the bed and stretched. I stood up and walked towards the door.

"Mom."
"Yes?"
"Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas to you too."

I walked out of the room and down the stairs and into the kitchen to see Ash making breakfast while singing and dancing to the radio. I walked over to her and kissed the back of her neck. She turned around and wrapped her arms around my waist and leaned her forehead against mine.

"Merry Christmas babe."
"Merry Christmas beautiful."

She kissed my lips and then my nose before turning back to the breakfast she was making. I heard the front door open and then close and footsteps coming in. Becky appeared with a red nose.

"Oh good morning. Merry Christmas."
"Morning to you too Rudolph and merry Christmas."

I walked over and kissed her cheek and handed her a mug of coffee. She chuckled and accepted it gracefully. Emily walked in half asleep and walked into the counter. She groaned but laughed along with us.

"Morning clumsy. Would you like some coffee?"
"Yes please. Merry Christmas Ash. Merry Christmas Becky."

She walked over to Becky and hugged her. Ash brought over a plate of toast. I grabbed two plates with the breakfast on it and Emily took two and Becky took one, along with the butter, jam and coffee pot. We all sat around the table and ate breakfast. That was until the doorbell rang. Em stood up and went to get it.
