Emily's POV
The doorbell rang and I jumped. I set my bowl of cereal onto the counter and walked out to the front door. I saw Alex slowly walk down the stairs and come up to my side."You wanna get it?"
"No, he came to see you. I'll be in the kitchen with the girls."She walked away and I walked to the door. I unlocked it and slowly opened it. He slowly turned around and his jaw dropped. He stepped and picked my up and held me tight. After a minute he set me back onto the ground but still held onto me.
"Mommy?"
He let go of me suddenly and I turned. I bent down and picked Liv up and set her on my hip.
"Liv, meet Aunt Alex's husband, Servando. Serv, this is Olivia. My daughter."
"It's nice to meet you Servando."I smiled when Liv stuck her hand out and he shook it. I kissed her cheek and set her back down and she ran into the kitchen.
"She's amazing. Just like you."
"She is. You're wife's in the kitchen hogging all my food."
"AM NOT!"I chuckled once I heard Al reply. Serv chuckled and walked into the kitchen with his suitcase. I was just about to close the front door but stopped when I saw Leo the postman coming up the driveway. I walked out of the house and met him.
"Got a lot of company Miss Krieger?"
"That I do Leo. Thanks for the letters. See you tomorrow."
"Definitely. Tell Liv I said hello."
"Will do."I walked back towards the house while looking through the mail. I stopped outside the door when I noticed an unfamiliar envelope. I continued walking into the house while looking at it. I closed the door behind me and set the other letters on the shelf and opened the unfamiliar one.
Dear Emily Krieger,
We heard you're living here in Seattle. My name is Laura Harvey, and I'm the head coach of the Seattle Reign. I've been a huge fan of yours ever since you played with Arsenal Ladies years ago and still am.I know this isn't exactly a letter you'd get everyday but I've been wanting to reach out for a few years now since I saw you at a supermarket three years ago. I was wondering if you'd like to come train with my team. Think of it as a tryout. If you get along well with the girls then you'll automatically be on the team. That is if you want to come back. Don't worry about fitness or anything like that. If you stay with us, I'll have you ready for preseason in two months.
So, if you'd like to come visit the facility or anything like that, give me a call. I'll be looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
Laura Harvey, head coach."Em?"
"Hmm?"
"You alright?"I looked away from the letter and turned my head to see mom looking at me worryingly. I smiled and nodded my head but she didn't look convinced.
"I think I just got an offer to join Seattle Reign."
"Oh. What're you going to say?"
"I don't know. Let's just focus on the next few days and then I'll decide. So, the twins. How're they getting here and when?"
"Tonight and, uhm, Kyle and my mom are bringing them."
"Okay."
"Em, I kn-"
"No, it's grand, really. It's all part of the next chapter of my life. One of which I want you in and if that means your family then by all means. I just need you. I kind of need to ask you, and Ash, something really important."
"Okay. She's in bed but we can go wake her up."
"Alright I'll be in in a second. I must make sure the girls are alright with Alex and Serv."
