Emily's POV
My hand is healing pretty quickly, thanks to Hope. Alex, Servando and I spent the week in Cali with Alex's family and it was incredible. While Pam and Alex went shopping, Serv took us to a jump zone and we had the place to ourselves. We showed off in front of each other until we both got tired and gave up.

Today we're heading back home to Florida. This time to Orlando, to mom and Ash's place. It's been a while since I've been back there and I'm a little scared. I felt my phone vibrating and I took it out to see Tobin calling. I was a little surprised but still answered it.

Me: Hey Toby.
Tobin: Hey Em.
Me: What's up? It's not like you to call.
Tobin: Just had a gut feeling that you needed cheering up so I decided to call. So, what's wrong?
Me: Spending too much time with Kling I see.
Tobin: Don't avoid the question Em. What's bothering you?
Me: Just the whole going home thing. It's been a while since I lived with them so I'm just worried everything will be different.
Tobin: It was always going to be different Em. We all knew it and we were all prepared for it. It'll take time, it always does so don't give up so soon okay? You still gotta get used to it.
Me: Okay Toby. I miss you. When will I see you again?
Tobin: I miss you too Em but it'll be a few weeks. Don't worry though, I'll call as often as I can, maybe even FaceTime if we're both free, and text you everyday so you can update me on your life.
Me: Sounds great. When's your next game?
Tobin: In a few days. It's against Red Stars so it'll be a tough one.
Me: Oh against Chris, Jules and Alyssa. I'll make sure to be watching and have my Thorns jersey on.
Tobin: Since when do you have a Thorns jersey?
Me: I don't but I'm going to buy one once I get home. Gotta support you somehow.
Tobin: Don't worry about the jersey. I'll send you over one.
Me: There's no need. I could do with buying some new clothes and cleats actually.
Tobin: You joining a team?
Me: No just training to keep up with my fitness and just to keep playing until I get to college since I'm taking the year off for a break and to recover.
Tobin: That's great Em. I'm so happy for you.
Me: Thanks Toby.
Tobin: I gotta go Em, I have training in a few minutes. I call you tomorrow.
Me: Sure, enjoy.
Tobin: I'll try.

I hung up and put my phone back into my pocket. I looked to the front of the car and saw Alex looking at me smiling. I raised an eyebrow at her and she turned to face me.

"Tobin?"
"Yup."
"Gut feeling and needing to call?"
"How did you know?"
"She always managed to cheer me up with those calls when she's on the other side of the country. It's one of the things I miss most about her."

The car turned off and I looked out the window and saw we were parked outside the house. I saw mom and Ash walking towards us smiling. Serv got out of the car and opened my door and helping me out. He closed the door and went to open the boot. I followed him and he handed me my suitcase.

"M'lady."
"Why thank you. For everything. The trip. The jump zone. Everything."
"It was great to have you with us Em. My parents loved you and hope we do it again soon."
"Definitely."

Alex went over and hugged mom and Ash and I turned back to Serv. He smiled and rubbed my hand on my head and messed up my hair.

"Serv!"
"What? It was messy anyway."
"It's kind of the point. It isn't called a messy bun for nothing."
"Oh Miss Sassy if you think that's bad wait until this."

He lunged at me and began to tickle me. I screamed and tried to break free but he tightened his grip as we laughed. I laughed until my sides hurt.

"Mercy! Mercy!"
