Nearly three hours later, Krani had polished the strand to an almost luminescent shine. Every link gleamed. Her fingers ached, but she was satisfied with her work. Her stomach growled, reminding her that she hadn't eaten lunch. She ignored the rumbling and began to search for another object. In a moment, she had found some twine. "The stuff you find in here!" She carefully threaded the twine through a link in the chain. One end was longer than the other. She liked it that way. Once through, she wrapped the twine around the base of where her braid had been, then wrapped the hair tightly, holding the chain to it. When finished, she tied the ends. "There." She pushed back her chair and stood, admiring the sparkle as the chain turned. It was shorter than her hair braid, but weighed more. It wouldn't take that long to get used to. She smiled. "This should be great! I hope... If nobody asks..." She bit her lip and thought for a moment. Then she began to put away her supplies. Once finished, she left for the mess hall. She was hungry! As she moved, the strands clinked gently, like wind chimes. Very few Jedi payed any attention to her. One Jedi, in meditation, stirred at the clinking but did not open his eyes.
