Krani walked carefully, making sure that her Force Grip on the braid was secure. She was so focused that she didn't know she'd arrived until her toes rammed into the door. She looked up, startled. Her braid slipped from her Force Grip, but she caught it before it hit the ground. She looked around, then sighed, relieved no one else was around. Then she pressed the door release with her empty hand and walked in, head hanging. Yoda was sitting on one of the chairs. He watched as she walked in, then stood, looking very dejected.
"Youngling, wished to see me, you did?" He asked gently.
"Yes, Master." Krani still looked at the floor and Yoda waited patiently. Krani's lip trembled, and she held out the strand. Yoda glanced at it, then returned his eyes to her.
"Happened, something did. Tell me, will you? Judge, I will not." She looked up for a moment, then back at her feet.
"I was practicing with another Initiate and my braid got cut." She blurted.
"On purpose, this was?"
"No, Master. We were both blindfolded. I didn't know until we were finished." Yoda gave a 'hmmm' and continued to study her.
"Afraid, you are. Why?" She looked at him and held his gaze.
"I don't want to leave the Order. It was an honest mistake! I didn't think it could happen?" Her brown eyes filled with tears.
Yoda gave another 'hmmm'."If an accident, it was, then blame you, the Council will not. While short, your braid is, find a substitute, you may."
Krani blinked hard. "Thank you, Master Yoda."
Yoda nodded. "Remember, you must, come to me anytime, you may, Initiate Viall." Krani nodded then left the room, tucking the strand into her tunic. Once outside, she began to run.
