Ignorance is strength

An excerpt from the Butterfly family history book:

Eclipsa was very fond of monsters for a member of the royal family. Her interest and fascination sparked at the age of nine. She was wandering along the edge of the Forest of Certain Death, (which is unjustly named so) when she came upon a little baby Warnicorn. It was wounded in its chest, and young Eclipsa wanted to help, but a flying tortoise descended from a nearby tree and treated the wound. That was when little Eclipsa first realized that monsters weren't monsters. They weren't beasts, they weren't dangerous. They were people, just like her. They could speak, just like people, they had their own opinions, like people, and had their own fears and enemies, like people. Yet, they were considered inferior to the Mewmans. Even as a little girl, Eclipsa knew this was unfair.

She went back to the palace and told her parents about her thoughts on the matter. She asked them why monsters were considered different, why they attacked monsters, why they couldn't live together in peace. Her parents responded by saying that this was their kingdom and they could choose who to trust. Her parents proceeded to forbid Eclipsa to associate herself with monsters any longer.

From then on the princess would only see them in secret. But the monsters were not interested in having Eclipsa as their friend, as her race kept attacking theirs. She tried everything for them to like her, but nothing worked. All those years of fighting, which her family told her were for the good of their kingdom, had managed to do nothing but pain.

Star POV

I was the first one to wake up, and I thought I had forgotten all about my confession to Marco and his feelings for Jackie, but I hadn't. In fact, the first thing I saw when I woke up, was them sleeping together on a couch. I wanted to be happy for him, I really did. He had worked hard for her, and she could make him happy. But I just couldn't keep looking. I got this weird feeling in my stomach. I needed to get some fresh air. I needed somebody to talk to.

I walked over to Pony Head and woke her up from her super weird floating-sleeping state.

"What...?"

"Pony, can I please talk to you for a second?"

"Depends, what's this about? If it's about the dimensional scissors I stole, I--"

"No, it's not about that. Whatever that is. It's about Marco and Jackie. I mean, just look at them."

She turned her head, "Dang, that's #relationshipgoals right there."

"That's the problem. Even though they're cute together, and I've supported them from the start, I can't help but get this strange feeling in my tummy..."

"Classic case of jealousy."

"What? I'm not jealous! There is no way that I'm jealous."

"Boo, you're jealous, just admit it, I won't blame you. Just kidding, I will."

"Okay, fine, Pony, I admit, I am a little jealous. A little huge bit jealous. How can I fix this?"

"Simply get over that guy! I never got what you saw in him anyway."

"But he's so--"
