An excerpt from the Butterfly family history book:

"Perfect princess Moon, she's great in every way. Everything she says and does is absolutely right." Those are the first two lines of Moon Butterfly's princess' ballad. The people of Mewni might have believed this, and it was practically true at the time. Soon after, she met Toffee of Septarsis, and her life changed both for the worse and for the better.

Marco's POV

Jackie and I were walking in the Royal Garden. She seemed a little uneasy lately. Communicating with her was difficult, cause whenever I'd ask a question Jackie would reply either 'yes', 'no', or mutter something terribly vague. Why wouldn't she talk to me?

"Jackie, what's wrong?"

"Nothing, I-- I feel a bit dizzy. It's cool, though. I'm fine."

"You're not fine. What's the matter? Talk to me, please."

"I can't tell you yet."

"Why?"

"I need to figure my stuff out first, okay? I'll think this through, and when I've made a decision, I'll come to you, I promise."

"I'm glad to hear that."

I wanted to give her a quick kiss, but she just kept walking and awkwardly ignored the gesture.

After a while, she said, "Hey, Marco, I'm going back inside. You can keep enjoying the nice weather if you want to." I nodded and told her goodbye. I hoped Jackie could fix whatever she was dealing with.

Star's POV

I was laying in my bed when I heard a sound. I heard it coming from the secret passage.

"Hey, Star. I thought I'd swing by again," Marco said.

I smiled, "You know there's also a door, right?"

"Yeah. But hey, are you doing anything?"

"Not really. Just thinking about some stuff. Waiting for my mom to come and explain."

"Sounds like you need some fun. You can't just become a boring princess."

"Well, what do you wanna do?"

"How about we go Dimension Shuffling?"

"Yes. YES, we haven't done that in ages!" I was so excited.

"I'll get my wand..." It wasn't under my pillow. It wasn't on my desk. It wasn't in my drawers.

"Where is it??"

"It's gone. My wand's gone."

"WHAT?! Who took it?"

"I don't know... I need it. I NEED it, Marco!!" I shook him by his collar.

We started looking everywhere and the room became an absolute mess. Still, we couldn't find my wand. The one thing that truly belonged to me. The one thing that made me who I was. I'm supposed to be a magical princess from another dimension. Now I'm just some boring princess from another dimension...

But when I gave up, Marco was still fervently looking for it.

"Marco, it's not here. Forget it. We won't find it anyway. It's gone," I said in defeat.

"No. Star, you can't say that. You can't just give up! That wand is important to you, so we need to get it back."

"What else can we do? We don't even know where to look for it. Don't worry. I'll figure it out."

"I want to help," he said. "Please. Please, Star."

"Could you please leave? I need some time to myself. Sorry, Marco."

"As you wish, princess..." And he left.

Third person's POV

Meanwhile—somewhere in the village named Yay—Alfonzo and Ferguson were doing the typical touristy stuff. After drinking their corn soda, they went to see the heroic statue situated in the center of town.

"Chauncey the Brave? A goat is the great hero everybody was talking about?" Alfonzo asked.

"That's Mewni for ya. These people are super weird."

An old lady walked up to Ferguson and threw a dragon egg to his face.

"That will teach you not to insult people on the street! ...Bastard." She walked away.

"There's nice people here, at least," Alfonzo said sarcastically. Ferguson shushed him.

"Al. Look." The egg hatched. "Its beauty is incomprehensible..."

"What is it?"

"I don't know. Some kind of a bunnydragon, I guess."

"Well, that lady just proved my point. Let's go ping-pong!"

"No," Ferguson said determinedly. "I'm a father now. I solemnly swear to protect my child and raise it with all my might and wisdom!"

"Nice Harry Potter reference. But don't you think you're exaggerating a little, Ferg?"

"What are you talking about? I am now responsible of this baby. Which only means one thing."

"What?"

"Let's buy some baby-stuff!"

"It's ironic how you buy so many things for a creature you've just met and you always 'forgot' to buy me a present for all of my birthdays..." Alfonzo said.

"This baby needs my care!"

"Yeah, but does it need slip proof baby knee pads?"

"Yes! Of course, do you think I'm stupid and I'll let my child run around with unprotected knees?"

"It doesn't even have knees!"

"Oh. Oooh. I forgot. Whatever, I can use them myself."

"Ferguson, let's be serious. Are you really going to raise this bunnydragon?"

"Definitely. Besides, it wouldn't be hard, right?"

Marco's POV

My head hurts and I feel sick. People just keep pushing me away. They don't understand how much I'd love to help them. Don't they trust me? Aren't friends supposed to help each other out? Why is this happening?

I need to forget about this. I need to get my mind clear. I can't spend all day with my mind overworking itself.

"So, if I hear correctly, you want ME to have fun with YOU?"

"Yes, Tom."

"...Why?"

"Because I need to chill out for at least a minute. I've been tense for a week."

"And so you immediately assume that demons are good at having fun?"

"Pretty much."

"Well, then I know this underworld nightclub that's to die for! Wanna try have some demonlike fun?"

"I guess, I don't see why not."
