SHE rushed across the woods, hoping to see hoseok at their hangout. her heart raced as she passed by every greenery.

please hoseok, please be there, i want to see you— i need to see you.

when jae heard the faint, familiar humming, her eyes lit up, and she crashed into the leaves and branches, that represented the secret gate of the two's hangout.

"hobi!"

the boy's eyes immediately darted to the girl's figure. his hand stopped flipping his switchblade.

"jae..."

he hopped off the tree branch, and advanced towards the girl. for the longest time, they just stared into each other's eyes, not uttering a single word. but, the silence had to be broken soon.

"hi," she greeted softly.

"hey."

hoseok huffed, and kicked a handful of dirt.

"i'm sorry for making you run away. i shouldn't have lashed out on you like that."

"it's okay. i'm sorry for not speaking to you."

hoseok's mouth stretched out into an enchanted smile, causing jae fall under its spell once more.

"do you know how much i missed you?"

maybe jae was so entranced by his smile, that she didn't respond. hobi let out a nervous chuckle.

"jae?"

she started to marvel about those musical lips.
