3. The incident.

-Skylars POV

I wasn't very happy about Cameron and Sodapop, because I like him and she knows it! but whenever I like someone she would just end up somehow liking them. It honestly sucks so much like, come on Soda, she's a slithery snake! Has he not noticed that about her yet? She's done behind the scene things that no one else knows about but me... things that no twin should do to the other.

"Hey cutie, you ok?" I heard from behind me. It was Dally. "Uh, yeah." I replied but it was a lie I'm not ok. At all. "Well that's good, no one as pretty as you should be sad." He said, that made me kind of smile. "Thanks Dal." I said looking down blushing. "No problem doll." And then we all just hung out for the rest of the day. Me thinking on what Cameron is planning while everyone else is oblivious to her ways of life when they aren't looking.

5 MONTHS LATER.

-Sodapops POV.

Me and Cameron have been dating for 5 months now. I've really enjoyed it but her sister Skylar just isn't acting the same as when I first met her. She is seeming more alarmed and jumpy lately, and I just don't know why. Her and Dallas have gotten a lot closer too. She smiles around us all and joins in on stuff we do but I just don't know, something about her is just....different. And I don't like it.

Today we are going to the lake that is like 2 minutes away from our house, but we like to swim in it so I need to get ready. I put on some bathing suit bottoms and a grey t-Shirt and went downstairs to see the gang all waiting. "Hey guys, I'm ready." I said to all of them. "Alright well lets head out." Darry said. And we all went. We walked to the lake because, like I said it's not that far at all. Once we got there the girls had brown pull over on, so they took those off. Well Cameron did but Skylar left hers on. I went up to Cameron. "Why is Skylar not taking her cover off." I asked her. "I tried to get her to but she doesn't usually swim anyways, she never really has."

That worries me about Skylar. Why would she say stuff like that about herself. So I went over to Skylar. "You coming Sky." I asked, she stiffened. "No, not right now. I will in a little bit." She replied in a monotone, not looking at me. "Alright but you need to get in at some point." I said as I walked off. I went back over to Cameron. "You know what I just remembered Sodapop?" She asked. "What's that?" I asked back. "I just remembered that Skylar also isn't really a very good swimmer, but she's not getting in anyways by how she's making it seem." She answered.

"Dallas stop!!" I heard a yell from behind me. Dally was holding Skylar bridal style while walking towards the lake, while Skylar was holding on to him for dear life. She had tears threatening to fall. "Dally don't thr-" Cameron yelled. But before she could finish there was a splash. "Her." Cameron finished shocked. "Oh gosh." She said going towards the lake. She jumped in, to get Skylar. The bubbles from Skylar were getting slower and slower. Then Cameron came back with a coughing Skylar. She was coughing up water.

"Are you ok Skylar?!" Ponyboy asked, while I ran to my girlfriends side. "Cameron are you ok?!" I asked worried. "Yeah I'm fine." She replied. I then looked over at Skylar. She was coughing a lot, some water coming out of her mouth because she must have swallowed some. She looked over at me as I hugged Cameron and then turned to look at Ponyboy. He was asking her some stuff as she answered him back, then al, of a sudden they were hugging. I wonder what they were talking about.
