Chapter Twelve
The Wright's

Leslie

"Ooouh, this will look good on you." Janette held up a turquoise blouse with gold trimming.

I looked at it. "Nahh, it's alright."

Janette and I decided to go shopping since we didn't have class. All of my siblings were occupied, Talon was working, so I had nothing else to do. I tried to be out as much as I can to keep things off of my mind. My mom, to be specific. It doesn't get better, I'm just learning to live with it.

"I'm hungry." I whined. "Let's go to Auntie Anne's."

"You're always hungry!"

After leaving Auntie Anne's, Janette and I shopped a little more. I stopped by the shop and did a few tattoos before going home. I decided to straighten up a little before Talon stopped by. It was almost time for him to get off. I couldn't wait to see his handsome face.

"We're home!" I heard Trent's voice.

As I finished wiping down the coffee table, Natalie and him stepped in. Trent had a hand full of bags.

"Hey tee tee!" Natalie smiled at me, showing her little teeth.

I leaned down and kissed her forehead. "Hey my baby." I turned towards Trent. "Where's Tricia?"

The day after mom's funeral, I asked her would she move in with me instead. I had plenty of space. I felt better with them there. We did a good job of giving each other privacy.

"She said she had to handle some business." Trent sat all the bags on the couch. "So I took Natalie shopping, and picked you up a little something too!" He handed me a Michael Kors bag.

"Awe, you didn't have to get me anything!" There was a light pink hand bag and a gold watch with diamonds that had 'MK' on the inside. "Oh my..."

"I wanted to get you something to show you that I appreciate you and I love you." He shrugged his shoulders. "And you're my sister."

"Awe , thank you Trent!" I hugged him. "I love you too."

Trent is such a sweetheart and he's so generous. He goes out of his way to do anything for anybody. I honestly don't understand why he's still single. Any girl would be so lucky to have him as a boyfriend. Trevor is the same way. I must admit, their parents raised them well.

"Hey baby." I turned, coming face to face with the apple of my eye. He wore the biggest smile on his face while his hands were behind his back.

I smiled, running into his arms. My most favorite place. "I missed you today!"

"I missed you more beautiful." Talon released me. "I picked these up for you." He handed me a bouquet of pink tulips.

Tears instantly flowed from my eyes. I smelled them, taking in the scent. They smelt good.

"What's wrong? You don't like them?"

I giggled, wiping my eyes. "Of course, I love them. It's just that...no one ever bought me flowers."

Talon smirked, pulling me into his arms once more. "It's plenty more where that came from. You're special to me, and I promise I will show you that every day."
