Dark Matter idioms

I've already discussed the idea of dark matter before. Some cosmologists don't think that it exists or is not needed to explain all the strange observations about the galaxies in our universe. If dark matter isn't responsible for these observations then it would have to be some kind of matter that we can't see. We could call it transparent matter.

One of the theories about dark matter is that it formed first within one second after the Big Bang some 13.8 billion years ago. This dark matter consisted of strange quantum particles that had mass but did not react with photons, better known as light, like the particles that make up normal matter. In fact, there is possibility that this strange dark matter ended up forming normal matter according to a macro version of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. That is the theory that ended up creating quantum physics.

The Uncertainty Principle states that one cannot know the position and energy of a quantum particle at the same time. If one applies this to a macro collection of dark matter particles, then it's possible to explain the formation of normal matter by the annihilation of dark matter particles.

This theory leads to the idea that there is a separate dark matter universe with dark matter stars that emit some crazy form of dark light. There may even be dark matter aliens. This sounds like a good science fiction plot idea.

One thing is certain and that is that we can only see sixteen percent of the stuff that's out there. This means that there has to be a lot of stuff we can't see. This could be some form of normal matter that has a somewhat different quantum particle makeup. Maybe it has strange quarks in it.

The fact is that we still haven't discovered what dark matter is made up of. The reason for is that it won't react with normal matter because it doesn't use photons to react with matter. Photons are absolutely necessary for electromagnetism. Apparently, dark matter doesn't use this method to interact or it's using dark photons, light that we can't see. It's as if dark matter is a completely alien substance with its own physical laws.

I believe that quantum physicists will discover dark matter or whatever you want to call it. Until then, all bets are off.
