Apologies for the long gap in updating. I made a lot of story changes from the original outline (for the better, honestly) and I did not want to write the next chapter until finalizing the outline; which is 17 pages and has this going up to 55 chapters (potentially more depending how I spread out events, perhaps less if I can combine some).

Also...made a tumblr account specifically for this as that website was the first I truly fell in love with. It'll include random edits, story updates, story sort of graphics (as it inspires me when writing the project), and more! http://www.kurome.tumblr.com

And of course, any feedback is always appreciated. As this is somewhat mystery, I'm curious as to what people's thoughts are with the plot and the questions mixed into the storyline.

"I'm not a dream, I'm real. And I know it's hard to believe and it's a lot to ask but please--"

"Please..."

"Please help me..."

"Please...."

"Please..."

"Please help us!"

The image of the girl with brown hair faded and the scene shifted to a disastrous scene. A family of five was inside a burning car, screaming and coughing as the smoke and flames consumed them.

"Please...help..." A man begged.

Nadine reached her hand out, but found herself unable to move, as if something was holding her in place. "Dad..I can't...move..." she said regretfully, awkwardly shaking in place as she tried to run towards the car.

"Nadine...why couldn't you help us?" One said breathily.

"I want to!" Nadine yelled, her eyes filling with tears. "But I can't, I can't move."

"Why Nadine..? Why did you let us die?" A young boy asked

"I didn't...I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Nadine whimpered. "I'm sorry I couldn't do anything," she said, falling to her knees as the flames grew more and more intense.

"It's all your fault," A young girl cried as the flames encircled her legs, trapping her within its fatal warmth.

"Mimi..." Nadine murmured, shaking her head as the scene unfolded.

"You're the reason why we died!"

Nadine's eyes fluttered open and she jilted upward, breathing heavily as her hand attached onto her heart, which was racing at the speed of light due to her dream. Nadine let out more breaths and glanced around the room. She gripped her lavender blanket tighter whilst lifting it to cover her body.

She found herself frozen and immobilized by fear as flashbacks of her dream flooded her mind. Her blanket, as thin as and as somewhat tattered as it was, seemed like her only shield and her bed felt like the only thing separating her from a vast and threatening unknown--which was anywhere else in her room.

She recalled a girl, some short of ghost, begging her for help and then she saw her family dying. And while it was probably just a dream, it had felt so real that the chills remained. The cries, the flames, even her own inner thoughts...all was laid out, and all seemed so bitterly real.
