My mom drove up to a wide grayish house. It looked simple and welcoming, I liked it.
I got out of the car slowly, grabbing my school bag and walked to the front of the car, waiting for my mom. I watched my mom look at her self in the mirror and she pulled out a nude shade of lipstick from her back pocket, I stayed put waiting patiently. It was windy and the breeze was chilly. "Mom, Come on." I yelled attempting to get her attention.
It seemed to work because she looked up at me, she rolled her eyes and eventually got out of the car, now she was going slow on purpose. I stopped walking and waited for her to catch up.
"Knock." She told me. "No you knock, I'm not knocking." I refused.
"You're such a child." She stated as she is took a step forward and then lightly knocked on the door.
"If I'm such a child then why would you suggest me to watch a strangers child?" I said seriously, shaking my head but then lightly laughed at the end.
"Oh stop it-" she began but then the door opened and I saw this lady with light blonde hair and a gleaming smile.
"Hi Christine." She smiled at my mom. "This must be your daughter." She said looking at me.
"Come on in." She said. When we were settled in the living room my mothers friend said
"My name is Mary." She smiled introducing herself to me."Hi, I'm Renae but you can call me Ren for short if you want." I smiled back at her. She looked so bubbly.
"Wonderful, Kacy is upstairs if you come with me for a moment." She said walking towards the stairs, looking back every now and then making sure I wouldn't get lost. This house is pretty big, you wouldn't think that it was big if you looked at the house from the outside.
