Chapter 11
We Get Kidnapped From a Mentally-Challenged Evil ScientistJake covered me with himself, shielding me, and he wrapped his arms around me. I covered my face from the flying shards of glass and felt a shard coming towards me. I summonded a gust of wind and it blew it away.
Once everything was done, I looked up.
"Are you okay?" Jake shouted over the screams.
"Yeah, you?" I called.
"Fine!"
I noticed he had a burn on his arm, and his palm was bleeding. Got cut by glass, no doubt.
"Brendon!" Jake yelled.
"Alive!" Brendon yelled back, and I smiled in relief.
"Let's go," Jake said.
We hurried over to Brendon. He was hiding behind an over-turned table, and his forehead was bleeding.
"You guys okay?" Brendon asked.
"We're fine, but we need to go," I said and helped Brendon to his feet. He staggered slightly, and Jake and I caught him.
"I think I twisted my ankle," Brendon said.
I looked at Jake, and he nodded. He put Brendon's arm around him, and I did the same. We walked towards the door, and I looked behind me.
I saw Dan lying on the ground, dozens of cuts and burns covering him. I waved my hand and water flew at him.
Keep him stable, I ordered, and I heard sirens.
"This is taking forever," Brendon said, and Jake and I carefully set him down on a bench.
"We need to get you to a hospital," I said.
"I'm fine, it's just a scratch," Brendon said.
"It's a head wound, Brendon. Those can be worse than they seem," Jake said.
I heard screetching, and the smell of burning rubber filled my nostrils. I saw a white van heading towards us, and my eyes widened.
"Not good," I said and started to lift Brendon up.
"What is it?" Jake asked, and I heard a door open.
Brendon was yanked away from me, and Jake and Brendon were thrown into the back of the white van. I spun around and saw Peleus.
"You!" I gasped, and he smiled.
I lashed out, and he ducked to avoid my strike. He picked me up by the back of my collar and threw me into the back of the van.
My head hit something, and I cried out. I kept my eyes open and saw a hand coming towards me. I bit it, and then someone slapped me hard. Something was injected into me, and I was able to make out a figure with black hair before I lost consciousness.

I woke up to a massive headache. I groaned and rubbed my temples, trying to soothe the ache.
"Ariana?" I heard Jake's voice say.
I looked around and saw him crawling towards me once my eyes adjusted to the light. I scooted towards him. "Jake? Where are we?"
"I don't know. I think we're in a cell in a dungeon of some sort," Jake said.
"Where's Brendon?" I asked.
"Here," came Brendon's voice, and I saw him slumped up against the wall.
My head was throbbing, and I groaned. "Ugh, I have a massive headache."
"Join the club," Brendon said.
