Ch. 3

Kelly's POV

After Caleb finished the song, he decided that he was going to take me out for the best day ever since I was still feeling a bit bummed. I tried to protest but Caleb insisted and I had to give in. Who can resist his puppy dog face? I went upstairs and changed into black skinny jeans and a random white shirt. When I came down, Caleb looked up from his phone and nonchalantly said, "I love your shirt." I looked down and saw I was wearing my "You Have My Heart" shirt. I laughed. Caleb got up from the couch, "You ready to go?" I nodded as I grabbed my black converse and ran out the door after him, making sure I grabbed my keys or else I'd be stuck outside when we came back to my house.

"Where are we going?" I asked enthusiastically hoping he would tell me.

"It's a surprise," he winked at me. "What do you want to listen to?" I smiled and ran back inside the house since we were still in my driveway. I came back out with a CD in my hand. Caleb tried to see what it was but I didn't let him. It loaded and the next thing we heard was the beginning of "You Have My Heart" blast through the speakers. "Hmm. I'm not sure if I know this song," Caleb grinned. He started the car and we were off to our mystery destination.

I sang along to all the new songs. The album didn't come out until Tuesday but being the good lightbulb I am, I pledged to the kikstart and got the album a week early. Sadly, I couldn't afford the concert, but the guys said they would make an exception of the rules just for me. Not like I didn't get concerts in my house every week. I was so lost in the music that I forgot all about my surprise. We had parked and Caleb was trying to get my attention. "Sorry, I just love these songs." I got out of the car and looked up. There in front of me was my favorite frozen yogurt shop. I looked at Caleb, "Are you serious?" He nodded and I squealed like a little kid. He just laughed at me.

"Get whatever you want. I'm paying."

"You're the best." I ran inside and immediately grabbed a cup. I looked at all the choices and decided on Oatmeal Cookie and Chocolate Frosty (which may sound gross but it is so good ). Next I added brownie bites, strawberries, gummy worms, gummy bears, chocolate sprinkles and rainbow sprinkles. On top of that, I put whipped cream and a cherry to finish it. This is so fattening but so worth it. Caleb and I put our yogurts on the scale and watched the weight go up. Caleb payed the girl behind the counter who hadn't stopped staring at him since he came. Typical. Good thing he didn't seem to notice but for some odd reason I think I would've been a bit jealous if he did. Weird.

We sat down and ate our yogurt. Like I somehow always do, I got yogurt all on my face. Caleb laughed and then purposefully put yogurt on his face. We took a picture and I posted it on my Instagram. We cleaned up and and took a few more pictures. I glanced over at the girl and she was glaring at me. As we walked out the door, I grabbed Caleb's hand and then smiled at her. Caleb and I skipped over to his car, more of my idea than his, and got in.

"So where to next?" I begged with my eyes for him to tell me.

He sighed, "To one of our favorite places to hang out." A smile, that I swear was bigger than my face, quickly appeared. I knew exactly where we were going and sure enough a few minutes later we arrived at the park. I know what you're thinking. The park? What's so fun about the park? Well being the person I am, I love the park. I scrambled out of the car and ran directly to the swings. Caleb was right behind me and sat in the swing right next me. We made it a competition to see who could go the highest. I won! "No fair. I think all this muscle is weighing me down," he jokingly pouted and then "casually" yawned trying to show off his muscles.

"Or it's all that fat you just gained from the yogurt," I retorted.

"Oh, that's it!" He charged towards me while I screamed and started sprinting away. He rapidly caught up and grabbed me by my waist. Surprisingly and with much ease, he picked me up and carried me over to the grass where he put me down. "Who's fat now?" I just grinned and got up. I ran to the teeter-totter and got on.
