Chapter 9

Your POV:

I turn on my computer, ice pack still on my cheek from where my boss hit me. I decide it's time to get more of the files. I don't care if this 707 guy seems friendly, I have a job to do and I'm gonna do it.

I turn on my computer, welcomed by the date and time.

It's the 4th of June.........that means....in three days....it would be Liliths birthday. Her turning 12.

I glare at my computer, my wanting to remember any of my childhood. It was horrible. Although I'm glad i grew up this way.....it made me strong and I don't rely on anyone these days. I know how to be cautious and never trust anyone. They'll just hurt me.....or I'll hurt them.

I log in to my computer and start hacking, trying to gain these files. My plan this time is to give 707 a virus that crashes his whole system.

I'll be able to grab the files i need and never talk to 707 again.

I start hacking, giving him the virus. I start grabbing files, reading them, and taking them if they're the ones i need.

I got four more files when my computer started acting up. It started becoming slower. A little chat box appeared and a message popped up.

707: DUDE!!! I already told you to stay out!!!! These files don't belong to you!!!

I don't care! It's my job!

707: Why do you need them?!

Username:
U don't need to know.
I just need to borrow them
And you can have them right

707: Look man, these are my files. They contain classified information. I'm just going to say this right now, if you don't stop trying to take them, you'll wish you never even new I existed. So stop.

Username:

707 left the chatroom.
Username left the chatroom.

I was assigned to do this and I'll make sure I get these files.

I hack into the system again, and start taking more files. 5 more. I just have 4 more to go!!

Static starts coming from one of my computers beside me. The screen reads,

Warning: Data Overload. Self destruct in 5, 4...

Crap!!! I quickly hack one more time, forcing a call between me and 707.

3, 2.....

He picks up, and my computer goes back to normal.

My voice changer is on and I speak quickly, "What the hell was that?!?!" I yell.

"I told you you'd regret hacking into my computer system. Hehe." He chuckles.

"Yeah but do you really have to try and destroy my computer?!" I yell.

"Kind of. I was told to destroy the other hackers computer if they try and steal my organizations information." He explained.

"Well that's shitty." I mumble.

"Hmm....anyway so why do you even need these files?" He asked.

"I can't say." I say. Honestly, I had no idea why my boss needed these files. He just told me he needed them.

"Hmm....okay then. I'll make you a deal. If you tell me, I won't destroy your computer." He offers.

"Nope. Can't say. I'll be fired." I explain. And I would be worse then just fired. My boss would kill me, literally!

"Fine then. Then can you tell me something else?" He asked.

"What?" I ask, with a bit of attitude.

"Geez, anyway. Last time we spoke, you suddenly ended the call, making my computer crash......why?" He asked, a bit of concern in his voice.

"Umm....it was just that my.....cat.....fell....off the ceiling....onto....my computer.......and died." I lied.

"Sooo..ur cat died after falling onto your computer from the ceiling?" He asked, suspicious.

"Mm......yup!" I lied.

"Sorry about your cat, man. Cats are too adorable!" He said, he obviously didn't believe me.

"......yeah....." I sighed.

"Wait!" He yelled.

"Hmm?" I say, a bit nervous. I didn't want him to find out anything about me.

"I heard something slam and I could hear someone yelling a bit before my computer shut down. Was someone else their?" He asked.

"N-no." I lie again.

"I think your lying. Someone else was definitely there." He said.

"N-no there was n-no one h-here!!" I yelled trying to convince him.

"Don't lie to me." He said, in a very serious tone.

"Don't boss me around." I sassed him.

"Hmm....feisty I see. Okay then, I have an idea. Let's be friends." He said.

"Friends? Are you serious? No way." I told him.

"Yes. We are friends now." He said, telling me, now asking me.

"Ugh, no!" I yell. No way was I going to have a friend. It wasn't worth it. One of us would just get hurt.

"Mhmm. Your my friend or I'll destroy your computer." He giggled.

I thought a moment. What an asshole! Trying to make me be friends with him or else he'd blow up my computer?! Like, what the hell!!

"Ugh!!! Fine. But don't expect my whole life story or something. I barely know you." I explain.

"I know, and we are going to work on that. Starting by taking off our voice changers." He said.

I didn't feel like fighting, I was too tired. "Fine....you first."

"Okay." He replied. I heard a click and then slow and steady breathing.

"H-how's this?.." he said. Oh my god....his voice. I have to be honest, it was deep and sexy hehe. I liked it. It was my turn.

"I-I like it..." I stutter.

"Okay.....now your turn." He said.

I hesitated before slowly clicking the voice changer link, turning it off. I breathed slowly, nervous.

"Now speak." He said.

I took a deep breath and spoke.

"This is it."
