Chapter 20

Your POV

We walk to the jail center. One of the cops who called me told me to meet them there, so they can explain to me what is happening. And if Lilith really is alive, I'd be so goddamn happy.

But where did they go? Why did the cops say she was dead? What happened to her afterwards?

All these questions nag at me, but a different thought keeps over ruling them.

Just a few minutes ago, me and Luciel were about to kiss. Like, wtf?!?!

I blush at the sudden thought and try and clear my head. What will I do if Lilith is alive? My parents still have custody over her since she is a child.....would I be able to take her?..

I could maybe go to court and try and get her, but I am basically a broke 19 year old, living by myself, and can barely take care of myself. I mean...I took care of Lilith when we were kids but taking care of her now would be hard. 

But if it's to make Lilith safe and happy, I would do anything. And I want to spend time with my little sister and protect her forever.

Luciel and I arrive at the police station and walk inside. We go to the front desk where a lady sits, and types away at her computer.

"How may I help you?" She asks and smiles at us.

"Umm....we are here for Officer Jones? (Lol, that's all I could think of haha)" I reply.

She nods and says, "okay! I'll tell him your here. Take a seat and he'll be out in a minute."

We nod and go to sit down.

"Y-Y/N......what's going on?" Luciel asks me.

"It's my little sister, Lilith. I just got news that she is alive and my parents have her." I reply, not looking at him.

"Oh. I thought she was...you know..." he trails off.

"Yeah.....so did I...but they found traces of her and my family somewhere. That's why we are here, to figure out where they are." You say.

"Ah! Okay, let's find her together." Luciel says and smiles.

"Together." You repeat, turning your head to him. You smile.

You wait for about 10 minutes and then a grown man, looking to be in his 30s or so, comes out.

"Y/N L/N and Luciel Choi?" He asks.

You get up.

"Come with me please." He instructs and motions for you to follow him.

You and Luciel walk behind him and into a white room. A man in a suit with a brief case is on the other side of a table, and two empty chairs on the other.

You and Luciel take you seats.

"Y/N. Luciel. We have received word that Lilith is alive." He says.

He opens his brief case and brings out a large tablet. He turns it on and opens an app.

He shows you it and you can see a teenage girl, broken and dirty, bruises and scratches covering her everywhere. She is barefoot in a white tank top and black shorts and filled with dirt. Her hair is messed up and she is in a dark room with a concrete floor and a few water puddles.

She is huddled in a corner.

"W-who..." you say and trail off.

"This is Lilith. She's been isolated from everyone for 4 whole years. She gets fed two meals a day and has a bit of water."

"Why haven't you got her out do that he'll hole yet?!?!" You shout at him.

Luciel rubs your back and whispers, "Calm down, Y/N."  You relax a bit at his touch.

"We can't seem to get to her. Her parents have a bomb planted underneath the building and if anyone goes near the building it will blow up, with Lilith inside." The man explains.

"But....there is an upside.." the man says.

"What is it?" Luciel asks.

"We have also received word that you and Luciel are two of the most best hackers in the world and you guys might be able to deactivate the bomb." He adds.

"Really? We can do that?" You ask him. You didn't know you were that good of a hacker.

"Yes. Now are you in?"

You look at Luciel and he nods.

"We're in."
