Kellin's POVThursday
It was just after lunch, Jinx and I having just finished explaining everything to my parents. When I say everything, I mean everything. She told them about her gang, and why she had to leave. I told them about my fight with my band mates, and how I found her shooting up Walmart again.
They had been beaming ear to ear, so happy that we found each other again after missing each other so much, but then we brought up our plans to move to England.
They were still smiley, but now they were concerned too.
"But what if you need us or something? You'll be all the way in England." My mom said anxiously. "And, I don't want to be so far apart from my baby boy."
"Well..." My dad trailed off, looking at my mom. "You know I've been wanting to move to England too, babe."
They talked for a while longer.
In the end, they decided to help us move to England, and then they would start looking for houses over there too. We however didn't have that luxury. We would be picking up my stuff tomorrow, and catching the plane the same day.
Jinx and I were going to stay with her cousin until we found a flat. She said he was nice. She said I might know him.
His name was Ricky, and he was from the band Motionless in White. With startling realization I had laughed so hard when she said his name. We were friends, although we had never met in person. We had started planning a tour together.
It was coincidences like that that made the world seem so small, when in reality there was seven billion people on it.
"So, your staying here for another night?" My dad asked, to be sure.
"Yup. Then we leave tomorrow to get my stuff." I replied.
My mom glanced up at the clock. "Great, you still have plenty of time to go shopping."
"What for?" I asked, confused.
She shook her head at me disapprovingly. "Kellin! Don't be so ignorant! Jinx has no clothes to wear, and it's not as if she can go get hers!"
Oh. Well, I hadn't really thought about that.
Jinx chuckled. "Yeah... I guess I do need some clothes." She stood up. "Come on Kellin." She said as I slumped my head onto the table. "It won't be that bad."
"Do I have to come?" I whined. I was only joking; there was no way I wanted her to get out of my sight.
"Yes, yes you do." Jinx chuckled.
We left the house soon after that, with me driving. Jinx had to tie up her hair and then put a beanie on, so that the only green you could see was a pony tail at the back where she tied it up. Soon you couldn't even see that, as she put on a hoodie to cover it.
Neither of us wanted to go to the mall, so we found a different store instead.
Jinx didn't want to waste time shopping, but we ended up taking ages anyway. I kept teasing her about the clothes she picked out. She'd claim she didn't care, but then she would go and pick different ones.
"You realize we could have shared clothes, because we're basically the same size?" I said as we finally left the shop.
"Yeah but that'd be weird." She replied.
I raised my eyebrow marginally. "How?"
"W-Well... that's a couple thing." She said. "Y'know; boyfriend jeans. Shirts that look like dresses." She made a face.
"Doesn't have to be a couple thing." I shrugged. "I'll give you some clothes."
She reluctantly agreed, and I smiled. It was a couple thing. But she was still going to wear my clothes. I'd give her one of my favorites, a really cute shirt that said 'Keep calm and hug a panda.' I knew she would hate it, but I thought it would be adorable.
It didn't really matter what she wore. In Walmart when she had the gun, she looked like one of those sexy video game characters. But last night when she cuddled up next to me, she looked like a cute little kitten.
Her personality was like that too. One moment she could be sarcastic or angry. Then the next she could be the quietest, shyest girl ever.
Those were the moments where her tough skin wore down, and she let me inside, even if only for a glimpse.

Sorry this chapter's so short. It was a filler, and I felt like a somewhat uneventful chapter was needed after all the action... Anyway, what do you think of the story so far? Leave a comment for my self esteem XD
