Me and Keith traveled back to the group. We heard Gio tell his group that he didn't find a team and they should go the other way. I was very thankful that Gio helped me and told his team he didn't find me. I was thinking of how jealous Keith was when Gio saved me.

We got to the others and I snapped out of my thoughts.

"What happened?" Mack asked with a worried look on her face.

"I almost fell in the hole, but-" I started but then was interrupted by Isabelle,

"What??" She said, rushing to me and hugged me.

"Are you alright?" Lance asked.

"Yea. Gio saved me." I explained what happened. That Gio had saved me, how he said sorry for the things he had done and that he told his team he didn't find anyone after our departure. Everybody said "wow" after I was done. They didn't expect him to say sorry, or to save me.

Keith didn't say a word the entire time. He was jealous, but I didn't know what there was to be jealous about. We continued walking north until it was dark. We set up camp again. We were so tired, we didn't realize to put up enchantments to make them invisible.

I woke up, stretching and yawning, trying to open my eyes fully. I looked around and noticed.... Mack was not here.

"Mack!" I yelled, wondering where she was.

"She's probably going to the bathroom," Isabelle said, waking up too.

I doubted that theory. I had a gut feeling that she was in trouble, that someone took her. I woke up the guys and asked them if they had seen Mack at all. They answered with a simple no and after, shouted her name, not even thinking about if other teams were around. We decided to go into the woods in search of her if she really was going to the bathroom, leaving the 2 boys at our camp, waiting to see if she comes back. Me and Isabelle searched all around, circling trying to find her. We finally stopped and went back to the camp.

"Did you find her?" Lance asked with a hint of worry in his eyes. We all could tell that he was trying to stay calm with this situation, and was doing a terrible job at that.

"No! We looked everywhere!" Isabelle said, having tears form in her eyes.

"She was taken," I said, crying already. Tears coming down my cheeks one by one. Both of the boys comforted us, hugging each other.

"Ok, let's figure this out. How do we get her back?" Keith said with determination in his voice, breaking apart from our group hug.

"I don't know! Umm," I said trying to think of something. "You don't think they'll do anything bad to her, do you?"

None of them answered. They wouldn't hurt her, would they?

"Screw the Horned Serpent, we have to find Mack." I said, grabbing my stuff from where I slept. Everyone did the same,

"Where do we start looking?" Lance asked, grabbing a granola bar out of his backpack.

"West," Keith said holding out the map.

We walked west for awhile until it was sunset. We looked for teams all over the place. Not one was found, except for a fire that died down not too long ago when we arrived. We saw broken branches on the path that we took. I was wondering about who took Mack? Why did they? I was interrupted from my thoughts when Lance asked if we could take a break.
