A/N

TW: mentions of suicide and cutting. Wow what a calming title until you see what this chapter contains... Whoops, I blame Blurryface. Cause well it is his fault😂

Josh and Tyler woke up earlier than they wanted too. It was seven in the morning. The sun was still making its way up out of its horizon. They somehow managed to wake up at the same exact time. Tyler looked at Josh. Josh looked at Tyler.

"I'm going home." Tyler said with a mumble.

"But Ty-" Josh said before he was cut off by Tyler.

"No Josh, I don't want to talk about last night. Not now." Tyler said with a huff of anger. Tyler left through Josh's front door. His porch was damp. "Must have rained last night."

Thunderstorms, clouds, snow, and a slight drizzle.

Tyler thought in his head. The old white rusted railings still had dew on its chipped paint. The way the rising sun was beaming on them filled Tyler with a sense of calm, and warmth. He didn't know why it did. He stood on Josh's porch for a little while. The sun was perfectly in between the two white ash trees that stood tall and proud in Josh's front lawn.

The sun will rise, and we will try again.

The houses were set up just right so you could see the curve of the sun start to peak out from the horizon. Tyler closed his eyes for a second, painting a mental portrait of the landscape.

Please let me paint a mental picture portrait.

He opened his eyes again. He walked to his car, and left.

"Did you have fun at Josh's house sweety?" Kelley asked oh so innocently, like Tyler was twelve again. He didn't mind, he was calm. He had no anger. No anxiety. Nothing. Just completely calm.

"Yeah, I did. We have more stuff in common than you would think." Tyler gave a happy smile to his mom.

"That's good Tyler. I'm glad you could find some things that you guys had in common." Kelley responded back with a smile that was just as big as Tyler's. She was glad to hear Tyler so happy and calm. It's been so long since she's heard such soothing words come from his mouth. Before she left, she gave Tyler a hug and said, "I love you Tyler."

Tyler gave his mom a hug, but tighter than what she was giving him before speaking, "I love you too mom."

Kelley left Tyler to himself. He didn't mind. He wanted to be alone. He didn't want to talk about anything. Tyler just wanted to lay on his bed, stare at the ceiling, and listen to music contently. Tyler grabbed his phone, no texts from Josh. That was good. He would have felt bad if he didn't answer them even though he knew he should. He laid down on his tear stained pillow. The pillow has adsorbed every last tear drop that has trickled it's way off of Tyler's smooth and soft cheeks. He puts in both earphones; drowning out any outside noise. He starts singing to the songs that start playing in his ears. "Sometimes to stay alive, you gotta kill your mind."

It's twelve at night. Tyler has eaten dinner, but he brought it into his room instead of eating it in the living room. He continues to listen to his music even when he is eating. The music is calming to Tyler. Tyler calls it a safe place for his mind to go when all it wants is death. This time it was different though. This time, his mind just wanted peace from the outside world.

Blurryface hadn't shown up yet when it had reached almost 1:30 AM. Tyler was a bit confused. He was starting to think that Blurry was just scared to come back because he was scared of getting beat up by Tyler. Tyler snickered at that.

It reached two o'clock. He still wasn't tired. He was still listening to music though, so he was content. He felt a breeze brush past his face. His forearm hairs started to rise up from the sudden cold breeze. Tyler knew what that cold feeling was. It was Blurryface, he just knew it. And sure enough it was.

"Hey Blurry." Tyler said casually. There was no concern about seeing Blurryface again. Tyler knew he is still fully capable of making his self-esteem deteriorate with all of the words that spew out of his mouth, but Tyler didn't care.

"Hi?" Blurryface said questionably. He was taken off guard by how calm Tyler was. He tired reading Tyler's mind, but all it was filled with was lyrics and rhythms. There was no loud pulse that was spread across his veins. There was no sent of anxiety, or insecure thought. It was just blank. That wasn't okay with Blurryface. He needed to fix it.

"Don't bother tonight. Nothing will happen. I will just sit here." Tyler spoke out closing his eyes as if he had no care in the world around him.

"That's not my job. I have to do something. I have to make you miserable. That wouldn't be to fun for me now would it if I just sat here and watched you be happy." Blurryface smiled his usual devilish grin knowing something that would get Tyler to go back to his depressed and anxiety filled state.

"I'm telling you, don't bother Blurry." Tyler still sounding completely calm let out a heavy sigh knowing that Blurryface would still try anyways.

"Ha, you're a funny one. If only Josh knew that. Now he just thinks you're a depressed little shit, that doesn't deserve any friends. And for a matter of fact I visited him before you, and he said those same exact words to me." Blurryface looked straight at Tyler hoping he would open his eyes to what he said. No reaction, just a little shift.

"Are you really trying? I just talked to Josh not to long ago, he said you haven't visited him yet." Tyler responded, chuckling at Blurry's now called out lie.

"He could easily be lying. He just doesn't want you to ask him all of the torture I caused him tonight. He doesn't want you to know that I called him out for all the shit he has caused his family to go through. All of the loops he has made, that his family ended up finding him formed around. All of the vertical and horizontal bumps that cover his thighs. All of the-" Blurry was cut off.

"Stop." Tyler said with a soft sigh. "Just stop trying. You obviously aren't going to get me into my depressed and anxiety filled state anytime soon. Just leave." Tyler spoke so calmly, so gently. No anger, no frustration, no annoyance in his voice. He was finally able to speak calmly to Blurry. Blurryface let out a heavy huff; he left.

Tyler smiled.

Happy

Calm

Relaxed

No anxiety related emotions. Just the happy related emotions. Tyler fell back asleep. He had defeated Blurryface, but only for tonight. What about the other nights that were to come?
