"¿Por qué él?
"What"?? I knew what she meant but I was trying to play it off so I could buy myself some time.
Erica eyes shot up. It was as if everything she had been building up towards the whole day came out, she found her courage.
"Why him? Why Joe? Why are you in a relationship with someone who's supposed to be my frie-"
"That's none of your business!" Cyn quickly defended herself.
"Really Cyn? It is my business if you fuc-"
"You got some nerve coming up in here like you ain't done shit wrong Erica" getting frustrated.
"What"?? (Growling)
"Don't you have a girlfriend?(cyn shot back) And don't you try and lie because your face just tells it all.
"Girlfriend?? She was never that, just a squeeze.
"Squeeze? You been with other people so don't question me about my situation.
"I wanna know!.... Is he better than me? Does he make you feel something you never felt with me? Does he make you scream like I did? Or is it because you just like Dick! Is that it"?
"Erica I don't want to talk about this with you" (turning away from Erica)
"Nah let's talk"
Cyn didn't know what to say. Why was Erica pinning this all on her? Then anger started to replace her desperation. After all the crap she had to deal with Erica now she was being blamed for this?
"Why are you doing this? do you get some sorta sick satisfaction from seeing me upset?"
"No I don't, but answering my questions with questions isn't helpi-"
"YOU WASN'T HERE OK!!, YOU LEFT ME ALL ALONE. Does that answer your fucking question"? (Crying, pushing past Erica)
"Cyn wait" -I tried to grab Cyn by the hand but Cyn got away and was now on the other side of the room. At that moment it finally clicked, I took it too far with her once again. Cyn was right I didn't have any right asking her about her relationship when I was sleeping with other people also.
Third person pov
Cyn walked over to her bed and sat down. She buried her face with her hands and started to cry. Despite everything Erica went over to her side and sat down next to her. To her surprise, Cyn turned around grabbed Erica, and buried her face into her shoulder, crying all the more. Erica held her, feeling her heart panic from seeing cyn lose it like that. Erica wanted to cry herself, and allowed herself to, but couldn't go overboard.
"I'm sorry, Cyn. I didn't mean to put you in this situation." Erica spoke with a shaking voice. She wanted to have a mini-breakdown herself.
"I shouldn't have yelled at you." Cyn said after a moment. "I was just upset, I'm sorry."
"Me too." Erica took Cyn's hands and squeezed them.
But perhaps this was too much affection after everything, as Erica withdrew them. She looked at Cyn heartbroken. "You know... you know that we can't keep doing this to each other, right?"
Cyn nodded her head, trying to stay strong. But despite her best efforts a tear escaped from her left eye. Erica flinched on seeing it. She reached up and wiped it off her cheek with her thumb. But on her touch another tear fell down.
"Don't." Erica's own eyes were watering. "Stop crying. This is hard on me too, you know."
"I know."
