"Honestly, she wasn't caring at all that he was there. Other girls would exchange their souls, or worst, their surfboards, for a conversation like this with a boy like him."

-

Harley cleared her throat and sat straight on her chair. "Okay, guys. So." She started, and we all watched her already prepared for tonight's story. "Magnus and I were going to a party..."

"Magnus, will you please wait for me? Are you in a hurry or something?" She complained, her short legs running as fast as they could to try to keep up with Magnus's slow yet long steps.

The boy chuckled and stood still to give her time to reach him. When she did, he kissed her forehead. She tried to keep an upset expression to make a point, but let her face fall into a peaceful smile as their hands embraced each other.

He was so much taller than her that her head barely made it over his shoulder in height. Still, they looked like two puzzle pieces that came together perfectly, complementing each other on what the other lacked.

"Yo, MP!" A boy called Magnus, who heard the greeting and fist bumped the dude. "Guess who's here." The boy said. Magnus shrugged. "Alice and her sister."

MP let out a laugh and the boy laughed along with him.

"What?" Harley asked, smiling too, wanting to get in on the inside joke.

The boy smiled at Harley and proceeded to explain. "MP hooked up with both of them a couple of months ago. It was epic."

"What? At the same time?" She asked, and then regretted having chosen to ask that question. Although they weren't seeing each other at the time, the information still hurt her.

Magnus looked at her and chuckled. "What? No, not at the same time." He said, thinking it cute.

She frowned and looked away, and Magnus's friend excused himself to go meet with his current "hook-up".

The party had started, and they were just walking in. Although Harley did love a good party, she suddenly felt like going home and snuggling with her pillow, eating some ice-cream, calling us, and forget all about Magnus. Although we all knew that last part wouldn't happen so easily, she would try. Harley wasn't the extremely jealous kind, but the thought of Magnus hooking up with some other girl drove her insane. And that insanity was starting to kick in right about now.

Inside the party, Magnus, or as his friends always called him, MP, nodded and waved at many different people. He was well-known. Around the guys and the girls.

He noticed she was upset, but figured she would just get over it. There was nothing he could do about her jealousy over things he did before they met. He couldn't change any of it, and it made no sense to apologize.

After a couple of minutes, Magnus drank his first shot of tequila, and almost instantly forgot about Harley's issues with his past.

Throughout the night, Harley barely drank. She mostly hung out with some girlfriends from her school that she met at the party. She lost sight of Magnus after he and some friends were starting to get drunk enough to attempt to create a dance routine to some random pop song that included many hair flips and middle fingers.

After a good twenty minutes without knowing where he was, Harley started looking around for him, worried that maybe he might do something stupid or dangerous.

"Hey. Harley, right?" She heard and turned around only to see a boy about as tall as MP, almost as handsome, equally as popular with the girls.
