Chapter Three
No. No. No. No. I was not going to believe this. However, my eyes were deceiving me and obviously, I was forced to believe in the possible. When I don't answer he repeats, "I'm Greyson." AJ stifles back a laugh and I can feel her eyes roam from me to him, back and forth.
"Believe me, she knows."
She speaks with a sarcastic smile. At this, I elbow her. In return, I receive a glare. Reluctantly, I stick out my hand to shake his. "Yeah, I know who you are. I'm Drew." He eyes my hand suspiciously as if it is some lethal weapon and blatantly ignores it. Rude much.
With the silence settling, suffocating me, Alexandria says, "Wow, you can practically feel the awkward." Greyson smirks at this and I roll my eyes.
"Okay listen," I begin, letting him know who's in charge. "I obviously don't want to be here. I'd rather be with AJ all day but because I have to we are going to make the best of it and that means no cockiness or being rude, okay?"
At first, he seems taken aback by my forwardness then understanding shows in his eyes.
"Alright," he shrugs his shoulders. "Let me just grab my stuff. Oh, and by the way," he approaches me to where his face is inches from mine. His breath tickles my face in a sickening and putrid way.
"Maybe you shouldn't be sneaking out of the house at five in the morning." He winks then heads back inside momentarily. My stomach churns at his airiness. Alexandria bursts out laughing.
"I can't believe this, your neighbor that you are forced to spend time with is Greyson Chance!"
Trust me, I couldn't either.
"It's not that big of a deal I don't like Greyson- I mean him anymore anyway. Sure his voice is-" I try to think of something to say instead of amazing but I can't find anything suitable besides, "decent but he's obviously arrogant. This is going to be the worst day ever."
AJ gives me the 'yeah right' look then adds, "Whatever floats your boat, lovie. But, deep down you know you like him or he at least likes you."
"Yeah, and the day that happens I give you full permission to officially smack me."
"Trust me, love, I'll keep you to that promise."
Immediately, Greyson steps out into the full sunlight, running his fingers through his hair. "Alright, ready ladies." Exhaling, I mutter under my breath and head down the stairs. I hear him chuckle, clearly amused by my anger towards his personality. If he found just this funny, I couldn't wait until he saw me furious. Grabbing my bike I pull up the kickstand and sit in the seat. Alexandria does the same. It's then that I notice one of two things. One, Greyson didn't have a bike and two; my bike was the only one with pegs. Great.
Greyson jumps on the back of my bike right away and before he has time to even do anything I say, "You put your hands around my waist and I will kill you." AJ's face portrays utter shock and she snaps.
"Drew! Be nice."
Greyson shakes his head and resounds, "It's alright. I'm just glad someone is acting normal around me."
"No, that's not Drew's normal. She's usually much nicer. I don't know what's up with her."
I can't believe she was talking to me like that. Fine, two can play at this game. "Let's just go, Tanya's is gonna' stop serving breakfast in an hour." Kicking off, I pedal out of the condo with the superstar on the back of my bike.
