Chapter Fourteen
Lights shine through my eyelids and I grimace in pain at the searing, burning sensation I was experiencing thanks to the wonderful UV rays. Deciding to end my misery, my eyes flutter open and I am aware of being in a room different than my guest quarters. Looking around, I observe my surroundings and spot an electric piano in the corner of the room. A Beatles poster is tacked up on the crime colored walls and I know I am obviously in Greyson's room. Wait, why was I in his room.
Suddenly, I hear a light knock on the door and it opens slowly revealing a neatly dressed Greyson. I can't help but smile at him in memory of last night. He returns a cheeky grin and walks over sitting on the edge of the plaid comforter. "Morning beautiful," he greets kissing my forehead. Heat rises to my cheeks and I mutter out, "Goodmorning, why are you dressed so nicely?" I question lookin over his attire.
He was wearing a white t-shirt with a black leather jacket and black jeans along with a nice pair of black converse. His hair was in a casual disarray and in my opinion he looked extremely charming. "Well, I have to work hard to keep up with you don't I?" He states straight forwardly. I chuckle and avert my gaze from his then direct it back to him. "What do you mean?" I question. He grins and adds, "Don't you get it? You, are absolutely beautiful in every way. For me to even reach half of your looks I'd have to prepare for hours."
He stops and taps my nose teasingly, "You are absolutely gorgeous in every single way." My Rosacea kicks in again and I smile the brightest smile I possibly could. Was it possible for someone's words to make your heart flip in your chest? "And you are the sweetest thing ever." I tell him plainly kissing his cheek. He pouts and says, "You missed." I smile and he leans in and kisses me slowly and sweetly. I wrap my arms around his neck and his fit around my waist. When we pull away, my hear must be racing at three hundred miles an hour and his gorgeous eyes sparkle.
"So, what are we exactly?" Greyson inquires shyly. I could sense him easing out into the open water called our impending relationship. I shrug then mess with the end of his hair. "I don't know. Whatever you want us to be." I tell him in an attempt of implication. He smirks and speaks again. "Well, it depends if you want it to." His eyes wander up to mine then down to my lips. I smile and reply back flirtatiously, "Well, why don't you ask me?" He laughs then grabs my hand, interlacing his slender fingers with mine. "Drew, will you be my girlfriend?" I giggle again before kissing him. "I thought you would never ask."

"Alli! Are you kidding me? Where did you put my Eva poster?" I hear Cody's screams from down the stairwell and I smirk at Greyson as he opens the door for me and we head downstairs. He grabs my suitcase from behind the door and drags it down the wooden landing, it thudding every second step. Somehow, he still manages to assist me down the stair with his fingers locked in mine. It felt perfect there, like it belonged. Whenever we reach the bottom of the stairs I find Alli standing on top of the table holding a life size Eva Longoria cut out. Oddly, Cody was trying to pry it out of Alli's nimble fingers.
"It's not funny Alli! Come on, give her back! We're gonna' be late!" Alli shakes her head no and Brad enters the room with little Tom on his heels. "Alli, give the fake Eva back to your brother." Brad remarks dryly before placing chocolate poptarts into the toaster, Tom's breakfast. That's when Cody is made suddenly aware of ou presence and his eyes widen when he sees me cradling the artificial Longoria. At first, it was embarrassment then he notices the closeness of Greyson and I. His eyes wander down to our locked hands.
Alli breaks into a blood curdling scream and attacks me. "Oh y flipping flagnogg! I knew it! Greyson and you are a thing! Yes!" She does a little happy dance as Greyson, Cody, and I stand there awkwardly. She immediately sees the tension between us then quiets. Brad, looks from Greyson to Cody and sighs as if he already knows what's going on. "Well, you guys ready to go?" He questions helping Tom cut up the warm pieces of pastry. I nod and he smiles grabbing the car keys. "Well, let's say goodbye and head out."
Walking over to Tom I kneel down to his height and hug him. "You know, you can always call me babe." He states winking. I can't help but laugh at his personality. I nod and kiss his forehead. "I'll always remember that and you." He smiles a gap toothed grin and returns to hacking his sweet tarts. Angie stumbles out of her room and grabs a cup of coffee slowly drinking it. Her eyes light up the room and they shine even brighter when she hugs me. "You're always welcome at our house Drew. You have been absolutely amazing." I gaze up at her smiling and am about to leave when she grips my forearm.
She pulls me in to her mouth and whispers lightly in my ear, "And thank you for not embarrassing my son last night. I know you really like Greyson and you guys are a cute couple. But please, no matter what happens never lose your sweet personality okay?" I nod and smile at her one last time before grabbing the bags, Greyson's hand, and my memories, heading out the front door of the Simpson mansion, wondering if I would ever come back.
When we arrive at LAX, Brad turns around an smiles at me. "Thank you so much for coming Drew. You are simply amazing." I smile before responding with a brief thank you an exiting the Suburban. As Greyson, Alli, Cody an I stand outside the car, Alli comes up and envelopes me in a hug. "I'm gonna miss you so much girl!" I hug her back in complete agreement. We had only known each other for three days but I already felt like her best friend. She pulls away with tears streaming down her face. "You better text me!" she threatens with a sad smile. I promise I will and she hugs me one more time before loading into the car.
Cody stands before me, his blue eyes clouded. "I'm sorry Cody." I say, not having to explain what for. He knew I was talking about my relationship with Greyson and he shakes his head in retaliation. "No, love it was my fault. I shouldn't have kissed you like that. We are better just friends. Forgive me?" I smile and hug him. "Of course, I do. After all, I don't know any other Australian cooler than you do I?" Alli's voice resounds from the inside of the vehicle, "I'm cooler!" I can't help but laugh at her and look back at Cody. "I'm going to miss you Drew." He informs me truthfully.
"I will too," I respond. He smiles shyly and adds, "If you ever need anything you know where I am." he winks and kisses my cheek before loading the car and driving off. Greyson smiles at me and I grab his hand, sliding in sunglasses and a hat, entering LAX. "Flight 872 boarding now" A voice resounds over the intercom. I notice that's our flight and Greyson questions, "Well, you ready sweetie?" I nod at him and head towards the entrance. With Greyson, my best-friend, and boyfriend, by my side, I was ready for absolutely anything. Little did I know, I wasn't.
