Chapter Ten

Chapter Ten

            “And you’re the beautiful Drew that Grey has been talking about.” Cody states taking my hand and kissing it. Please excuse my approaching fan girl moment but, CODY FLIPPING SIMPSON JUST KISSED MY HAND!!!!! Okay, I’m good. Greyson seems to tense up at Cody’s contact with my skin. Aware that my face must be blazing, I clear my throat. "Um, would you like to come in?" I look from the attractive Aussie to Alli, praying that they'd say yes and not think of me as a crazy, psychopathic fangirl. Apparently, they didn't because they nod and follow me in. 

             "Mom, Dad, we have guests." I warn them before the superstar enters the room. Instantly, I worry about the reaction of Alexandria. She wasn't necessarily the subtle one when she was a fan of something. Oh well, what happened would happen. What I was curious about was why Cody was even here in the first place. Of course, I wasn't going to contradict his stay. I mean, who would go against a over six foot tall, blonde celebrity staying with you? I sure wouldn't. 

            Once Cody's foot crossed the threshold of the living room three things happened that surprised me. One, my brother looked up from his video game. This action surprised me immensely because he never ceases in technology. Two, my mom smiled at them and my dad did the same. This frightened me because with a boy my dad never smiles. Three, Alexandria does not spaz but rather stands up walks right up to Cody and gives him a  friendship handshake which Cody does in return. Okay, was I missing something?

            "Okay, what's going on?" I question, my curiosity finally getting a hold of me. As soon as i say this my parents stand up and Alli looks to Greyson. "Well," Greyson stutters, his give that he is nervous. "I kind of got you a really big birthday present. I knew you were a major Cody Simpson fan thanks to Aj and I decided to call him up to meet you. And, well, Cody can tell you the rest." Not believing what I was hearing I turn my attention to the hazel eyed boy and await his highly anticipated explanation.

             "Well, Greyson called me and I figured as much as he talks about you I had to meet you. Alli here decided to come as well because, well, she likes meeting people. Anyway, he called me and arranged together a little birthday surprise. We are flying you out tonight to LA where you will stay in our house. Then tomorrow we are all going to hang out together and go to my concert." I swear I feel my heart stop. Was I dreaming? He had to be kidding.

             "Are you kidding me?" I question unsure. Cody nods and I suddenly feel a smile spread wide across my face. Somehow, I end up launching myself at Greyson and hugging him to death. "Greyson! i can't believe you did all this! You're the best friend ever!" I plant a kiss on his cheek and Greyson blushes furiously, which makes me as well. Alli notices this and smirks. What was that child thinking?

               Remembering that this was part of their plan too I hug Alli. She seems surprised at first but never even hesitates in hugging back. I pull away from her and before I can even approach him, Cody envelopes me in a hug. His smell wrapped around me like a blanket. He had this strong scent of cologne but not where it would suffocate it. I will admit it was nice. "Thank you so much," I whisper to him. Somehow, I know he knows how much of a fan I am. I hear him chuckle deep  in his throat and he smooths my hair. "No problem angel. But you might want to thank Greyson more. It's obvious he'll do anything for you." Confused I look up into his currently green eyes. "Why's that?" He smirks and states as if its the most obvious thing in the world.

"He likes you."

                "Now remember, stay together and make sure you have your phone with you at all times." My mother frantically tucks a piece of my auburn hair behind my right ear. "And most of all, happy birthday baby." She kisses me on the forehead and readjusts her purse before walking off to my dad. I smile weakly at Alexandria and I hug her tightly. "I wish you could come." I whisper lightly in her ear. She chuckles and states, "Oh that's fine. Its your birthday, besides. I think I saw Cody checking you out." 

                 Rolling my eyes I laugh and bid her one last farewell. As she walks away to my parents in the middle of Southern Airline Central's airport she shouts, "Have fun baby!" I laugh and turn to Greyson who is smiling. You ready? He questions holding out his hand to me? I look from him to Cody with his hand also stuck out. I smile again as I watch Alli chug down her chocolate milkshake. Taking their hands I state, "As ready as I'll ever be."

                    "Cody!!!!!" A little tuft of brown hair screams before leaping into Cody's arms. We had landed about an hour ago at LAX and arrived at Cody's house, or should I say mansion.  It was three stories tall with a spiral ornate staircase. The shutters were the blue of Cody's eyes and the ivory walls as white as his teeth. Okay, just like him the house was gorgeous. "Ey, Tom!" He greets. I smile at Greyson, him obviously thinking the same thing as me. Tom Simpson was adorable. 

                    He had these chubby cheeks that wobbled every time he talked and his brown hair was combed messily to the back. "I'd like you to meet someone." Cody begins as he turns to me and grabs my hand. It swallowed mine easily. "This is Drew. It's her birthday and she's gonna' be staying with us for a while." I smile shyly and wave. Tom looks me up and down and says, "You dating Greyson?" My cheeks get hot and I shake my head no. He looks between Cody and I, then to our locked hands. "My brother?" he smirks and I look to Cody again, clearly embarrassed. "Well," Cody begins playing. I smack his shoulder knowing the ridiculing prank he was about to pull.

                    "No, I'm not dating anyone," I tell Tom bending down to his level. He slyly smiles then adds, "Well then, I'm going to be nine in three months." He winks and I begin bursting out laughing along with Alli and Greyson. "Okay, I believe its time to go to your room," Cody says picking up Tom. As Tom thrashes in Cody's arms he shouts, "Think about it babe! And when you know call me!" I continue laughing at his adorableness and Alli turns to me. "Okay, I'm not going to lie and say I'm sorry because that was hilarious." I nod my head agreeing. 

                      "Well then," She begins after laughing. "You ready to meet the family?"

Sorry for the long intro but this story is finally underway. It may seem boring right now and I'm sorry if this chapter sucked but it is going to get even better and funnier.
