Chapter Eleven
"Mom, Dad, we have visitors!" Alli shouts, her aussie accent resounding through the massiveness of their home. With an intake of breath, I nervously await the entrance of the elder Simpsons, the parental units, their mom and dad. Apparently, Greyson, hearing my apprehensiveness in my breathing, grabs my hand and whispers in my ear. "Don't worry, they'll love you." His breath tickles my skin and I smile. This was why he was my best friend, he always made me feel comfortable whenever I was scared. For some reason, I have a flashback of four days ago. I can literally feel the wind gracing face and the warmth of the sand against the soles of my feet.
Flashback
"Greyson, I can't" I peer down the steep incline of the hill leading to the ocean. The waves seemed to beckon for me calling and speaking. I somehow knew if I ventured down that hill we would go flying into the sea. "Come on, Drew. You've done crazier things then this before." It was true, I had. But, he didn't need to know that. I look into Greyson's brown eyes that I learned to trust quickly and back to the gently lapping waves. "Greyson, what if we miss the turn and crash off the island into the water. Grey readjusts himself on my candy apple red bike and shrugs. "We won't, I'll make sure of it. And if we do," He stops to place my arms around his waist. "You can hang on to me." Instantly, I feel at peace and not nervous in the least bit.
Smiling weakly, I assure Grey that he can do this, that I trust him even though I was terrified. "You ready?" He questions his brown eyes sparkling. Nodding, I cling to his waist as I feel his foot push off the island dirt road. The wind attacks my face in wonderful wisps of air. Adrenaline rushes through me to the sound of the turning bike pedals. For some foolish reason, I laugh and spread out my arms as if I am flying. This lasts for a few moments until I chicken out and fall off the bike, causing us both to topple over.
Dusting myself off, Grey helps me up. Dejectedly I resound, "I am such a baby. I can't believe I was such a chicken, so much for fearless."
"Hey," Greyson begins lifting my chin up to face him. "You are fearless. Fearless isn't completely unafraid, it's learing to fall and get back up again even after you have fallen so many times before. It's walking into highschool on the first day of school without knowing anyone there. Fearless, to me is defying the impossible whenever everyone else tells you to give up. Drew. Is. Fearless." Smiling cheesily, I respond to his encouraging words. "Thanks Grey, but I don't care for Taylor Swift quotes." I smirk at him while he shrugs his shoulders. "Neither do I. I just like sounding smart."
End of Flash Back
Smiling at Greyson for being such an amazing friend we stand there momentarily until I spot two adults descend the regal staircase. The first one I see if a brunette woman who looks to be in her late thirties or early forties. Her bright and shining eyes seem to light up the whole room. Next, is a medium height brown haired man. His brown eyes are similar to Greyson's but much more clouded. As I notice that Cody and Alli's parents have brown hair, I wonder how the eldest children came out blonde.
"Why Greyson, you've seem to grown a foot since the last time I've seen you!" The woman exclaims hugging him closely. Greyson blushes furiously and Cody tries to hold in a laugh. "Hey Brad," Greyson greets holding out his hand for Alli's dad, apparently named Brad, to shake. Alli clears her throat then makes a gesture towards me grabbing my hand. "And this, is Drew." Realization crosses over the woman's face and Brad half smiles towards Greyson and Cody. That wasn't strange at all.
"Hi, nice to meet you." I begin holding my hand out to the woman. Instead of her giving me a handshake she envelopes me in a hug. I remain in her arms uncomfortable. "Hello sweetheart, why aren't you the most prettiest thing I've ever seen. I'm Angie." Prying myself free from her viper like grip I smile and brush my hair behind my ear. "Thanks, Angie." Turning to Brad I also thank him, "And thank you guys for letting me come here. Your house is amazing!" Cody and Alli burst out laughing. "If you think this is amazing, you should check out LA!" Cody suggests grinning his gorgeous smile.
Angie smiles widely and states, "That Cody, is an excellent idea."

"Why are we doing this?" I question as we hide in the bushes infront of a very magnificent looking mansion. Alli laughs maniacally then states as if the most simplistic thing in the world, "Kylie Jenner spread a rumor that her and Cody were dating. This is a form of revenge." She returns to her binoculars to peer at the Kardashian home. Cody nods his head and finishes, "Plus ding dong ditching is always fun."
I smirk at their childishness. I loved it because it gave me a whole different outlook on Hollywood. I thought all celebrities were snotty and rude and never had fun. Frankly, I compared them all to the Kardashians. But ever since I met the Simpsons and Greyson, I have completely changed my opinion.
"You ready?" Cody asks. I remember those two words being the same ones that Grey asked me when we crashed. Fear courses through me instantly. Gulping down the lump forming in my throat I nod hesitantly. Cody grabs my hand to comfort me. It doesn't help as good as Greyson's did but it would suffice for now. Considering Greyson, was not here to comfort but rather at the door of the Kardashian Temple planting a paintball on the ground, it worked.
Greyson gives a thumbs up signal after installing the "explosive" then rings the doorbell and makes a mad dash for the opposing bushes. Moments later, Kylie opens the door and begins searching around for the initiator. Finding nothing but the paintball, she nears it as soon as the ball of color erupts into a rainbow. Thus, dying her black hair and makeup clad face to a magenta, blue, and green palette. She resembled a clown immensely.
All of us loose it and burst into laughter. Kylie spots us in the bushes and begins cursing at us. "Ugh, Cody Robert Simpson you are so going to pay for this!" She squeals disgusted. Cody chuckles deeply and rises form the greenery and shrugs his shoulder's dramatically. "Sorry babe, but I honestly don't give a crap." This threw Alii and I into hysterics and we literally begin rolling on the ground in contortions. THe thing that stops us is whenever we hear the barking of her guard dogs. "Um, we should probably be leaving now." I suggest leaping off the earth and racing into the street with the Simpsons and my best friend right behind me.

"Did you see the look on the witches face when the paint finally exploded? She thought she looked worse than she already did!" Alli reminesces as she shoves another handful of popcorn into her face. I nod in rememberance too and add, "Then that horrifying scream was priceless!" She nods in agreement then sighs, flipping the channel on the flat screen television in her bedroom. "You know, you're pretty cool Drew. And I'm not the only one who thinks so." Confused I inquire who else does.
"Oh isn't it obvious? Greyson completely loves you and my brother thinks you're gorgeous." Shaking my head I resound, "No Greyson doesn't like me. We're just best friends and that's all we'll ever be. And I just met your brother. He can't like me now." I brush it off as I sprinkle some salt on my bag of popcorn. She laughs deeply then places her hand on my shoulder. Her blue eyes intensify as she stares into my golden ones, "Honey, believe me. I know my brother and he likes you. Secondly, Greyson is just like my brother. THey both seriously have the same taste in girls."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I mean I know Cody thought Grey like me and I thought that he didn't. But now that Alli was saying it, could it be true? I mean, we've only known each other for a week. Was that quick enough to like someone? And Cody, how could he decides he likes me when he knew me for a day? I mean of course he was gorgeous and funny but how was I expected to like him back. Or rather, either of them.
I am snapped out of my trance whenever Alli makes another statement. "Now, all you have to do is choose." Puzzled I ask, "Choose what?" She smirks as she pops another piece of popcorn into her lipglossed mouth. "Whether you want to be Cody's Angel or Greyson's sweetie."
