Freezing

Thirteen : Mr Capsree's revelation

"Sit down, i'll be back soon" he said coldly as we stood in the salon , where two crouches faced each other near a fire place . I distracted myself by looking at the elegance of the house , wooden parket , classical furniture , a deer head attached above the chimney . It gave me the impression of being deep into the woods , in a snowy day , the perfect place I would like to be in . I could even smell the strong fragnence of pine trees , hear the harmony of the murmur of birds and the ripple of the stream, I was lost in my thoughts until  I could no longer ignore Lily's and Who's eyes staring at me , mouths ajar 
" What ?" I said annoyed  
The two of them looked one to another and kept silent
" Don't try to ignore what happened a while later , to the flowers , to the door , to your eyes " said Lily 
"I dunno what happened to me okay ? I couldn't  calm my anger and I didn't mean the frost to go covering everything crazily " I whispered 
"You're the one" the man's shaking voice came out loud from the kitchen , four mugs in his hands , two at each  . " You're the REAL Emily Erudite"
He sat down after giving each one   of us his cup full of a weird drink I didn't recognise " I knew you were telling the truth , only a stong   winter doer can ever  kill a living creature using his power , you did not only kill the orchids but you also brought them to life again , your capabilities  are great miss Erudite  , but your feelings are controling you ... And that's not really a good thing, you need to learn how to get over it " he said sipping his drink
"We're looking for the signs" I said well determenaited " the powers' signs  I mean,  we've already got the appearing one and we're looking for the invisibility's Thundral right now , we need to know where the princess's vault is  , we believe you know how we can find it .. In fact , you are probably the one hiding the two remaining  pages of this book" I said getting the copy of "How To Catch An Invisible " out of the bag and handing it to mr Capsree's shaking hands " which will lead us to the vault , we'll find the sign and therefore... destroy Shadows ."
Capsree looked disturbed and examinated the book cautiously , then closed it saying with his blue eyes fixed on me 
" I'm sorry , I can't help you " 

"What ? " Exclaimed the three of us at the same time 

" I can only talk to Miss Erudite about it , I'm sorry " 

" They came with me " I protested "  I wouldn't last two minutes without them " 

" I'm sorry Miss Erudite , we can't risk them being at Shadows hands " he said shaking his head

" They won't ! , I'm always at their side , and I will never let him penetrate in their mind " 

" You can protect them physically only " 

" No , I can block Shadows from taking any memory , I've done before , almost drowning in a lake , I think I can do it in my friends' case too " 

" It is risky you're..."

" I am powerful enough " I interrupted feeling the volume of my voice raise " To do it " I continued 

" But .." 

" It is urgent Mr Capsree " I said calmly " The queen has been kidnapped ,  and we need to find those signs immediately , and without them , It'll take me years to do it , or forever " I interrupted him again 

" The queen has been .. "  said Mr Capsree his blue eyes open wide 

" Kidnapped , yes " Said Lily after a while of silence 

     Mr Capsree sighed deeply , sorrow filling his tone , his features no longer hard but sad . 

" Follow me please " he said putting his mug on the wooden table in front of the couch . 

and we followed him as he led the way to a locked door next to the kitchen 

He took a golden key from his pocket and tried to duck it with his shaking hand  in a hole in the door in vain , he kept placing it inches to the right or to the left in each try .
