Perfection (Chapter 6)

Maia POV:

I show Stephanie around the house. She keeps stopping though. It's like she's too nervous to do anything. I say to her quietly "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." She says like she wants to cry.

"Wanna go back to my room?" I say and she nods her head yes. We go back to my room. Poor Stephanie is so nervous about being in my house. I close the door. She runs over to me and hugs me. "Stephanie what's wrong?"

"I'm sorry you just found out you had a sister." She says starting to cry.

"Stephanie I'm glad I have a sister. And the best part is it's you. You make a great sister so far and maybe my mom can get you back."

"Uh Maia I don't think that's possible." She says to me.

"I know it's possible. I'll go talk to my mom. Ok?"

"Ok. Thanks Maia." Stephanie says to me starting to stop crying.

"Your welcome." I rub her back gently then run and talk to my mom. She's already on the phone with the foster home that Stephanie went to. The good news is we got Stephanie back. When my mom tells me I smile and run to my room and say "Your a Mitchell again!"

Stephanie smiles really big and says "How?!"

I smile and say "My mom got you back! Your foster parents have a week to get your stuff here."

She smiles "Thanks Maia."

I smile and say "Your welcome."

Stephanie POV:

So I was at Maia's house last night when the first box arrived. It was my journals I wrote things in. I look at them and show them to Maia. I say to her "These are my journals I wrote stories and songs in."

Maia looks at them for a while smiling at every song and story.
