Perfection (Chapter 19)

Stephanie's POV:

I think down thing is wrong with Matthew. He's acting weird right now. I wonder what's going on. Maia and Ross come out of Ross' room. "Ready?" Maia asks.

"Yep!" Ross says.

I smile and nod.

"Yeah." Matthew says plainly. I'm talking to him later. Asking if he's ok. He's acting different.

"Let's go then." Maia says. We all walk out.

We decided to go to the mall. Ross just dropped Maia, Matthew, and I off at mine and Maia's house. Maia goes inside.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" I ask Matthew.

"Yeah sure." He doesn't sound too pleasant.

"Are you ok?" I ask. That's all I say.

" I don't know." He answers.

"What's wrong?" I ask. He sits down on the stairs and I sit next to him.

"My brother and I are fighting. You know how close we are so I'm really scared." He says.

"Yeah. How long has it been happening?" I ask.

"Like since yesterday. This is the longest fight we have ever been in." Matthew replies.

"Yeah. You'll make up." I say.

"You really think so?" He asks.

"Yeah. I do think so." I assure him. He smiles a little.

"That's the smile I like." I say causing him to smile more.

"Let's go inside." Matthew says.

"Ok." We stand up and go inside.

Maia's POV:

I wonder what Matthew and Stephanie were doing outside. Oh well. I hear the front door open and see Matthew and Stephanie. "Hey guys." I say.

"Hey" Matthew says. Are they hiding something?

"What do you guys want to do?" I ask.

"I don't know." Stephanie responds. Matthew just shrugs. Huh. Weird.

"Wanna go to the movies?" I ask.

"Sure." Matthew says. Are they taking turns talking?

"Ok." I say. This is so weird...
