Perfection (Chapter 17)

Maia's POV:

Yay. Mark the sarcasm. Now to break it to Stephanie and Matthew. I get to the hospital and text Stephanie what happened. I go to Ross' room and go in. "Hey Ross." I say.

"Hey Maia. The doctor said you were coming. Did you tell Stephanie and Matthew?" He asks.

"Yes. Worry about yourself right now though." I say.

"KK." Ross always knows how to lighten the mood.

I chuckle. "How are you doing?" I ask.

"Better. My head hurts and so doesn't were I had to get stitches." He says. That breaks my heart. Just hearing him say that.

"Ok." I feel so bad for him. He's just a fragile boy. I get a text from Stephanie saying that they are in their way.

"So...." It's hard to start a conversation in a hospital! I can tell that's what Ross is thinking.

"Are you thinking it's hard to start a conversation in a hospital?" I ask. Considering the look on his face I think it is.

"How did you know????" He laughs.

"Lucky guess?" I join him laughing.

Stephanie gets there with Matthew not short after that.

"Hey guys." Stephanie says walking in.

"Hi." Ross smiles. I could tell he was trying to be brave around my sister.

Stephanie's POV:

We get there and Ross is smiling. I play along and act like it's a real smile but I know it's not. "How are you Ross?" I ask.

"Ok. Just a small headache. Nothing big." He says.

"Ok." I keep playing along.

About half an hour goes by and Ross is still faking it. "Matthew will you show me were the bathroom is?" I ask.

"Yeah sure." He answers and he takes me. I don't really have to go.

Ross' POV:

Oh god. Maia and I in the room alone and she knows I'm trying to be strong for Stephanie. I know I'm her idol and I can't let her down with something like this.

"Ross. Don't be strong for Stephanie. She will understand." Maia says.

"I know but still. I don't want to let her down." I say.

"You won't. Trust me." She says.

"Maia I know Stephanie is a big fan of mine and I'm her idol. I won't stop being strong. It's my job to show her stuff that she'll look up to." I say.

"Ross don't worry. She'll always be your fan and you'll always be her idol." Maia says making me feel a little better.

"Ok. Can I talk to her alone when she gets back?" I ask.

"Yeah." As if right on cue when Maia said yeah Stephanie and Matthew came in.

"Stephanie can Ross talk to you in private for a minute?" Maia asks for me.

"Yeah." She responds and Maia and Matthew walk outside.

"Look Stephanie." I start but before I could say more she cut me off.

"I know. I heard you and Maia talking. Don't be worried about loosing me as a fan. I'll always be your number one fan. Check your twitter." Stephanie says. I check my twitter. She said this-

"Thanks Stephanie." I say after reading it, "I'll try to get better soon." I smile. For real.

"Your welcome. Just get better and don't worry about loosing fans. We all care about you. I was the first one to post that because the news doesn't know about this, the fans didn't know it was you. I was the only one besides Maia and she didn't have time to do that. She's worried about you Ross. I am too." She says.

"Ok. Thanks again. And the fans.. they do care. Even if they don't see it." I say.
