Perfection (Chapter 22)

Maia's POV:

As soon as Matthew said oh yeah I was scared, so was Stephanie. "Ratliff, what do you have planned?" I asked.

"Nothing really. I was hoping you guys could come up with something fun." Ratliff responded, but when everyone's faces looked shocked and a little mad at the fact that he had nothing he said, "Kidding! We're going to play our favorite childhood games."

"This is going to be a long night." Rydel stated.

Everyone nodded their head in agreement.

"So what's first?" I ask.

"Hide and go seek?" Riker suggests.

"Sure." and "I guess." Comes from everyone, but Ross.

Ross said "Seriously Rike?"

"What it's a game from our childhood. And it could be our favorite. Or I'm just bored and suggested the first thing that came to my mind." Riker answered.

"Riker, it was a good idea. Ross... stop complaining." I said.

"Woah why are you defending my brother?" Ross asked, getting slightly mad.

"Because I am." I replied.

Riker's POV:

I suggested we play hide and go seek. Ross is the only one who did not like that idea. Maia started defending me and he started getting mad.

"So are we playing or not?" I ask to stop Maia and Ross from fighting.

"Yes." Stephanie said getting the idea of what I was doing.

"Ok. Rules are. You can go inside or outside. If you are caught you HAVE to help the seeker find the other people WITHOUT giving all of the spots away. If you are caught first then you are the seeker. If The seeker still can't find you, you HAVE to come out of your hiding spot depending on how long you have been hiding. You have 30 seconds to find a hiding spot. The better we get at hiding we will have five seconds less each time." Ratliff explained all the rules.

"Isn't that a lot of rules Ratliff?" Rydel asked.

"I guess . Oh well. Ross is the seeker first."

Ross's POV:

I guess I'm the first seeker for hide and go seek. I don't want to be, but Ratliff will get mad. I'm a little mad at Riker for completely changing the topic on me . Oh well. I just have to play the game I guess. I cover my eyes and start counting. "30, 29, 28, 27, 26..." I started. I could hear everyone start running to find a hiding spot. "24, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17..." I continued. I could hear something louder than an animal in the bushes. This is going to be reallly easy. "15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8..." There's more than one person in the bush. I can hear them talking. "6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 READY OR NOT HERE I COME!" I shout finishing counting and uncoveriing my eyes. I walk over to the bush. I look over the side and I see Rydel and Matthew?

"...so pretty..." is all I hear Matthew say.

"Boo." I say deciding to let them know I found them.

"Hey Ross." Rydel says, her face red from being startled.

"Matthew. Does Stephanie know you're with my sister?" I ask.
