It got dark quickly and everyone in the base was asleep. Well, everyone except me. I couldn't sleep. To distract myself, I decided to go outside just to kill some time.

I sat down in the grass and looked up at the crescent moon. "I'm surprised you're awake at this hour." Inari said. I gave a small smile as it was nice to hear her voice again and took off my eyepatch.

When I did that, she created a phantom of herself and sat on my right side. "Why so surprised? I practically sleep the day away unless I have any missions." I stated. "I know. But I just find it odd." She said.

I looked at her, then back at the sky. "By the way, why have you been so quiet?" I asked. "I thought you already knew the answer to that," She said, looking at me. "It's because of this place. It's no fun when you're surrounded by idiots and assholes."

"Tell me about it." I mumbled. We didn't stay anything for a while as we stared at the sky until I felt someone's presence. "Are you gonna stand there and watch me all night or what?" I said. "Sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you." Itachi said as I heard him walk over to me.

I didn't reply as he took a seat next to me. "Go away." I said, coldly. "Why?" He asked. "Because you're bothering me." I answered without looking at him.

"Are you having trouble falling asleep?"

"I said, go away."

I felt Itachi look at me, then stand up and went back inside the base. "Did you have to be that cold to him?" Inari asked with a smirk. "Not that I'm surprised by it. You're just about as cold to everyone in this place."

"So, what's your point?" I asked. For some reason, that made her giggle. I looked at her, then back at the sky. "Jellyfish..." I mumbled. "Huh? Jellyfish?" Inari said as she heard me. "Dude, we're not in the water. Has this place finally took that much of your sanity away?"

"It's not that," I said, shaking my head. "I'm thinking about a song." I said. "Song? The jellyfish song that you learned from your sister? Man, it's been years since I heard you sing that song. Think you still know the lyrics?" She asked.

"Of course I still the lyrics. There's no way in the world I'd forget it. I was just thinking about it because... I wanted to sing it to Naruto." I said the last part quietly. It was quiet for a short moment until Inari said, "Sing."

Well, it sounded more like a command. "What?" I asked her. "Maybe if you sing that song, somewhere in the Leaf Village... Naruto will hear it." She said.

I lowered my gaze to the grass, then gave a sigh, closing my eyes.

When I finished the song, I lifted my head and opened my eyes, looking at Inari. She had a soft smile on her face, one I haven't seen in a long time. "Beautiful as usual." She mentioned, making me smile back at her. "I only wish I had the chance to sing it Naruto in person." I said.

"And maybe one day..." Inari scooted closer to me and placed her hand over mine. "You will."

Even though she was in her phantom state, she still had the ability to touch and feel things. Also, I'm the only one who could touch her.

Inari smiled again and leaned her head on my shoulder. I leaned my head against hers and closed my eyes as the two of us sat there for a good while.

After some time had passed, Inari exited out of her phantom state and I went back inside the base. As I was making my way to my room, there was a voice I didn't want to hear tonight. "Finally decided to come inside?" Itachi said.

He stood there leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest like he was waiting for me to come back inside the base. He was even standing by my bedroom door. I ignored him and proceeded to open my door.

"Did it get too cold for you out there?" He asked, almost teasingly. Once again, I ignored him. Just as I opened my door, Itachi opened his stupid mouth again. "You have a nice voice, Eita. That song you sang was beautiful."

My face completely turned red as I felt the steam burst out of my ears and clouded my face, rising towards the ceiling. I stood there, waiting for my heartbeat to slow down. 'This bastard...! He heard me singing?!' I thought.

Words couldn't even begin to describe how angry and embarrassed I was right now! When I finally found my voice, I quickly turned around and faced Itachi. "Go to hell, Uchiha!" I snapped before running into my room and slamming the door.

I can't believe him! He was spying on me the whole fucking time I was out there! I'll kill him! I swear I'll kill him!

I was too angry to even sleep now. I laid on my bed with the stuffed lion's back to my face, basically screaming into it.

Yeah, I still have this stuffed lion. Why? Because I wanted to keep it, that's why.

Every time I hold this stuffed animal, I always picture Naruto with that grin he always has on his face.

After I was done screaming into the stuffed toy, I sighed and took it off my face, staring at the ceiling. "I so need a drink." I mumbled, closing my eyes.

Hello, my insane children. I hope you're all enjoying the story. Just wanted to let you know about the voting poll I posted in the last chapter. If you haven't already voted, be sure to do so and choose who you think Eita should be with. That's all, my children.

See you next time!
