EPILOGUE 2 – AUTHOR'S NOTES

Ron peeked at Pansy from behind the book he was pretending to read. She was hunched over one of those lap top typing computing things that Hermione had taught her to use, her face fixated and full of concentration as she muttered to herself whilst pressing the buttons.

For a second she paused pressing buttons and cupped her face in her hands, giggling like a school girl and fanning herself before continuing.

He put the book away and made his way over to her, watching from behind her as she pressed buttons quickly. "Pans, what are you doing?" he asked, trying to understand the words, but it didn't make much sense to him at all. What the hell was 'The Simpsons' supposed to be?

Pansy glanced up and nodded at the computing thing, "I'm writing a story, Weasel."

He frowned, he didn't like it when she called him that, it was too much like Malfoy, but then again, she didn't like being called Pans either, so it worked out somewhat, "a story about what?"

"My ship!" she grinned, pressing a button and smiling widely.

Ron gulped, he'd never seen her smile like that before, "you have a ship?"

Pansy sighed heavily, sending him her 'you're being an idiot' glare that he was well accustomed to, "it's not an actual ship, you idiot. My fangirl ship! Dramione! I'm writing Hermione and Draco's story!"

"Oh, okay." He said, trying to understand. A few seconds of contemplation later, he frowned again, "why?"

"Because I ship them!" she replied as if it as the most obvious thing in the world. She typed some more, her fingers flying over the buttons like she'd been using it forever, even though she'd only gotten it last week.

"What does that mean? What does ship mean?" he asked, even more confused.

Pansy licked her lips, getting impatient with the distractions and the questions. She was only on the twentieth chapter and she had a lot more to write down. The battle against the bad guy was coming up soon, and Ron wasn't helping. But if explaining it all meant that he would leave her alone, then it was worth the time wasted.

"Shipping means I want them to be together so much that I'm willing to spent time and effort to write about them and their story! So, I ship Draco and Hermione, so I'm writing their story down!"

She watched him nod slowly and wondered if he actually understood all that or if he was pretending again. He tended to pretend to understand a lot of things if they got too complicated for him to get his head around.

"Shipping means that?" he elucidated, running a hand through his hair to think.

Maybe he really did get it this time then? "It does in my world!" she smiled, returning to her work.

Ron stood behind her for a while, watching her type her shipping story that wasn't actually about a ship, his mind clicking all the pieces together slowly so that it would make sense.

"Well then, I ship us." he stated, still looking confused about the whole matter.

Pansy froze, her finger hesitating over the keyboard before she turned around to face him, her eyebrows furrowed, "you what?"

He winced, thinking he'd mucked it up, "you said shipping is like wanting people to be together, right? Like you ship Hermione and Malfoy or whatever?" he clarified, rubbing the back of his neck. had he actually screwed it up...was that not what she'd meant?

Pansy nodded, her face still a mask of shock at his words.

"Well, then, I ship us." He stated again, nodding with his words, deciding that that's what he wanted to say.

"You want us to be together?" Pansy asked, her heart thumping so loudly in her chest that she felt like it was tap-dancing. Was this what Hermione had been talking about when she'd explained their story to her? This crazy rhythmic dancing that her heart was doing in her chest at someone's words?

"Technically, I think we kind of are. I mean, you live with me and your stuff is all here, and we go on like dates and stuff, but yeah...if you want to..." he trailed off at the unreadable expression on her face.

"You want us to be...like a couple and stuff?" she asked, there were butterflies in her stomach now! insects in her stomach! Was that normal? She had to ask Hermione!

Ron rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, wondering if she was angry at him or not. It was kind of hard to tell with Pansy, "well, yeah, if you want to. I was kind of hoping..."

Pansy calmly saved the story so far and got up off the chair before grabbing Ronald Weasely by the collar and pushing him against the wall, kissing him passionately, her lips pulled into a wide smile.

"Urg! You idiot! I ship us too!" she muttered.

"Good." he murmured, pulling her close, his hands around her waist and at the base of her neck, holding her in place.

She could finish the story later, right now, she was about to start her own.

The End (really this time!)
