I really wanted to sleep.

I felt heavy.

I smiled.

He was beaming.

The place he had taken me to was small.
Quiet despite it being full of people.
An amazing scent filled the space.
It was coming from the kitchen.

We had been here for what felt like hours.

He had been so interested.
In knowing who I am.

The things I thought about.
The things I dreamed about.

He had said very little about himself.
