I am so sorry I didn't update earlier! I am just busy with exams and I wanted this to be perfect!

Magnus couldn't see Alec like that. So broken.

He broke the spell on the door and walked in. He was no shadowhunter who were nimble or treaded softly on their feet but Alexander didn't look up. Not even when Magnus stood so close to him that he could feel the waves of despair and helplessness radiate from him.

"Alexander", Magnus whispered, softly, as if that one word meant everything to him.

Alec's head shot up, so surprised that he had no time to mask his features. The grief on his face was evident in the way his arms hung numbly from his sagging shoulders, his lips turned downwards and his eyes so shattered that Magnus almost took a step back.

He blinked and his features convulsed as he straightened his posture, his face becoming unreadable. The set of his jaw told Magnus that he was a person who grew up too fast with responsibilities on his shoulders.

"Magnus? I- what are you doing here?" he asked, absentmindedly running a hand through his dishevelled hair.

"I'm sorry, Alexander. I- I heard some of your conversation with your siblings before they strode out the door", Magnus hesitated as he said this, wondering what Alec's reaction would be.

"You did?" Alec looked at him, his features laced with suspicion and worry.

"I didn't mean to eavesdrop", Magnus hurriedly added.
"Look I don't really know what you all were fighting about-"

Lies

"- but nobody deserves to be yelled upon like that. I'm sure you mean good for your.... family."

Alec looked away, slouching into the sofa. He had a distant look on his face.

"You don't know about it, Magnus", he murmured.
"I know its not right, its very dangerous but they don't get it. Its either doing this or doing nothing and I-"

"Cannot stand aside and do nothing", Magnus smiled faintly.

Alec looked in his direction, a flicker of something crossing his face.

"You'll do anything, give up everything to do the right thing, to help others. Even if that means destroying your own life", Magnus said, half speaking to himself.

Alec leaned forward, sitting at the edge.

"What do you think I should do?" he gazed at him, intently.

To say Magnus was surprised would be an understatement. Nevertheless, he only hesitated a moment.

"I don't know about your situation, Alexander", Magnus inclined his head, brushing his hand above Alec's.
"But what is life without a few risks. You won't stand aside and let anything wrong happen to your family - and you shouldn't. Listen to your heart. If its dangerous you'll find your loved ones standing beside you, no matter how much they disagree on you doing that - because they love you and that is how love works."

Alec looked down.
"Maybe they won't if they....have other options. I'm nobody's first choice."

"You'll always be my first choice, Alexander", Magnus said, fiercely.

Alec looked up and their eyes locked. Magnus's heart was beating fiercely against his chest and he was very much aware of his hand, lingering on Alec's.

"Always?" he whispered, as if in disbelief that someone could ever want to be on his side.

"Always."

Magnus didn't know who moved first and he really didn't care.

Alexander's lips were soft on his, careful and hesitant but full of eagerness. His nose brushed against his cheek sending electric sensations all over. Magnus wrapped one hand across Alec's waist to pull him closer, the other cupping his face, leaning into the kiss, softly so as to not scare him but deepening every second. His eyes were closed, fully appreciating Alexander. His soft hands on Magnus's neck, tugging at his hair, the typical Alexander smell of mint and lavender engulfing him. He broke off a moment later to catch his breath, something that seemed impossible.

He looked at Alexander whose eyes were wide, his breathing erratic and his hands had detached themselves from Magnus, much to his disappointment.

"Magnus", Alec breathed, biting his lip adorably.
"I- I don't know, I mean its- its okay if y-you if I imposed myself on you. I- its okay if, if you don't want this", he said, barely meeting his eyes.

Magnus's breath caught in his throat as he looked at the blue-eyed angel before him. The way he thought that he wasn't good enough for anyone.

At that moment Magnus felt that he had never loved anyone like this before.

"Alexander - look at me."

He looked up, eyes full of uncertainty, as  if preparing to be let down.

"I've never wanted anyone this much before."

And the expression on Alexander's face and the kiss that followed made every bit of waiting worth it.

I can't stop fangirling. Seriously.
Anyways, how was it? I hope the 'big moment' was worth the wait. Was the description good? I actually found a post on tumblr that helped me write it!

Enough with my babbling!
