A house. A job. A boyfriend! In the space of a few months, Mitch's life had turned upside down (in the best possible way).

He was still recovering from his time on the street but it was getting better. He was slowly getting over his parents -not forgetting, but moving on.

When Scott wasn't in, Mitch would live in his new music room. He loved it! He felt comfortable there, in his element.

His work wasn't too bad either, the kids seemed to like him. They'd gotten over the fact that he liked men and judged him on the way he taught. Mitch had noticed a change in a lot of them. Those (like Max) who hadn't tried in class, had made smart comments at every opportunity....those people had started to enjoy music. They'd each found an area they enjoyed...and that made Mitch happier than anything. The fact that he'd made a difference.

The fact that he got to see Scott at work everyday helped aswell. Working and living with the man he loved....what more could he want? But Scott had given him so much....he had to give something back.

But what did he have? He didn't make much money and what he did make was spent on rent and to help Scott pay the bills. The only possession he had was....everything in the music room. That was when the idea came to him. He had a surprise for Scott....one he hoped he would love.

He worked for hours that weekend, making sure Scott didn't suspect anything.

"Are you okay in there?" Scott asked when he realised Mitch hadn't left the room all day.

"Urm....yeah....I'm just.....making the most of this room...." Mitch hurridely thought of an excuse.

It took hours (10 to be exact), but Mitch finally did it.

"Scott!" He called.

"Yes!" Scott sprinted to the room, desperate to find out what his boyfriend had been up to all day.

"Just sit down and don't speak." Mitch said...he was nervous.

"Ok...so, as you know, I haven't really had a home from a while and...you changed that." Mitch took a deep breathe and sat down. He picked up his guitar and began to play it.

All of my life been running.
Paying the price for living.

Mitch thought of all the pain he'd gone through, all the loss.

How do the young survive?
We're never satisfied.
Only if I could listen.

How many times had he pushed Scott away? Why didn't he listen?

When the lights go down in the middle of the night, where will I run to?
When the lights go down in the middle of the night, where will I hide?
When the lights go down in the middle of the night, where will I run to?
When the lights go down in the middle of the night, where will I hide?

Mitch thought of the danger he faced on the streets, the sleepless nights, the emptiness.

I'm on my way, I'm on my way,
I'm on my way, I'm on my way. In the middle of the night, I've been running, running, running
And I'm on my way home.

There were tears in both the men's eyes, tears put there by the other.

Mitch had found his home.
