The day began with dark clouds looming over the earth bringing with them their wet tears. Many think that dark, rainy days bring puddles, sopping feet, and chills, but I am here to tell you that a day is just a day. Not matter what rain or shine, it can be any kind of day that you want. You just have to wake up and make that decision yourself. You can make any day enchanting with a little magic. And that is what two youths learned on one grey rainy day. Little did anyone know that today their lives will be changed forever. And what a special journey would it be. Many say and truly believe that true love doesn't exist, and you might agree. Why is it then that people always seem to find it?
One day a girl was at school in her choir class when she happened to notice that a boy was gently smiling at her. When he saw that she was looking at him he blushed smiling shyly back. The music in his hands were shaking nervously as they locked eyes, the boy looking into her grass green eyes and the girl staring into his sky blue eyes.
Now some say that the eyes are the window to the soul. And at that moment, they both saw so much passion and emotion. The boy saw a hard working, passionate, imaginative, and creative person. He saw how much she loved music and its power it has over the mind. The girl saw someone who wanted nothing more than freedom. Someone who also held so much passion for music and the life it brought to his life. So these two individuals will definitely have to agree with this.
The girl smiled back and gave a small wave before she began to fill the room with a sweet melody on the piano. The boy noticed the girl's fingers move with passion and ease across the keys. The Director shortly brought in the choir to sing and the girl noticed the boy as he sang with such confidence, not knowing that he was half a step behind the others. Throughout the class the boy kept looking over at her and each time he noticed how delicately her ginger curls fell around her beautifully freckled face. Her heart pounded with adrenaline whenever he would look at her. Each time their eyes met they would smile at each other. And sooner than either of them wanted, the bell excusing them from class rang slow and loud. The girl stood up to leave picking up her backpack and looked through the sea of people quickly flooding into the hallway like a dam had just broken. After it had all cleared out she saw that the boy was standing by his chair looking at her.
They walk over to each other when suddenly the boy awkwardly trips over a music stand knocking it over sending the music pages flying in the air. His freckled cheeks flush as red as his curly hair while he watches them fly across the room landing on almost every square foot of the floor. The girl looks at the boy with sympathy and grabs his hand gently. He paused and looked at the girl who was kindly smiling up at him. He smiled back at her and she bent down and began to pick up the papers one by one. He bent down and together they cleaned up all of the papers and returned them to the music stand that the boy had stood back up. They both stand up and look back into the others eyes. The girl smiles and grabs his hand and he looks at her face and she laughs as she leads him out of the room.
The girl runs with the boy down the hall weaving through the crowd and straight out of the building. They are met with grey clouds and a cool rain falling on their faces. The girl laughs again and spins with her hands in the air and her face towards the sky. The boy watched the rain as it landed on her face and became enchanted by her contagious joy. He laughed happily and span with her letting the rain gently fall on his face.
The next few minutes seemed to go in slow motion for the girl and the boy. The rain fell slower and each motion they saw as the span in the rain together. Their red curly hair soaking in the moisture from the rain. The smiles on the others faces. The sound of their laughter. The cool breeze blowing through their hair. They saw every moment slowly pass them by. Each one was filled with more happiness than anyone has ever felt before.
When they both stopped spinning, the boy reached down and grabbed her hand and reached the other to her cheek. He wiped her curls away from her face and looked down into her eyes. She put her arms to his firm shoulders and and neck smiling up at him. He slowly leaned down and their lips softly touched. Both the boy and the girl felt the world stop for a moment. They didn't even feel the wind softly tousling their curls or the rain hitting the ground. They only felt the magic of the moment and they were so happy. They were more than happy. They were in love. They knew. No words were needed.
