Abby pulled up to the 'Emergency' spot at the hospital. Her breaks screeched as she flung in between parking spots 234 and 235. She knew she was going to see him. No matter what he looked like, she need to say something. Weather it be hello or goodbye, she needed to see Ethan. Her heart pumped as she walked up to the front desk. A lady with black hair and purple scrubs was putting files away behind the counter.
"Hi, where is Ethan Dolan?" Abby said as quickly as she could.
"3rd room to the right ma'am." The lady responded as she knew Abby was in a rush.
Abby ran down the hallway and tried to open the door. It was locked. She knocked and was let in by a nurse. As she walked through the door way she heard beeping, he was still alive. Suddenly a big tush of feeling came back into her arms and legs, a feeling of relief and pure excitement. Abby shed a tear or two of joy and walked over to the side of the bed. Ethan was wearing a hospital gown which was blue with a white TGH on the right corner. He turned his head over and smiled. Abby kissed him and she knew everything was alright.
"Since Ethan is perfectly stable, I'll leave you two alone." Said the nurse as she walked out of the care unit.
Ethan's smile was bigger than Abby had ever seen it. She had a deep feeling of joy in her stomach and she was so happy that he was still alive. Ethan reached his arm up and slowly wiped away the tears dripping down Abby's face. He mouthed the words "I love you" and closed his eyes again. She grabbed his hand and never let go. They stayed there for about 2 hours when Shea showed up. Abby was happy, Ethan was happy, and Shea was happy that every one was alive and safe, and the had forgotten about Grayson.

Meanwhile...
The footsteps of the 2 patrol sheriffs echoed in the hallways of the jail. They came once every two hours past Grayson's cell. It was a small room. Grey concrete brick all the way around, with bars halfway up on the hallway side. It has a small window leading to the outside world about 13 feet up the back wall. The window has 2 layers of bars almost as if they think someone could fit through the size of a makeup mirror. A bed on one side with a sheet and quilt and a steel door with an opening slot for the food to be delivered in a paper bag. Grayson had no idea what time it was but he knew he was done. He had only been in jail for 18 hours but he already knew he was done. He didn't regret killing Josh, Eli and Carson and he didn't regret wanting Abby back. What he did regret, was shooting his brother. He slumped down on his bed. His head tilted and looked at the bard on the window 13 feet up. If he stood on the bed, he could reach the window no problem. He took his hand off his lap and slowly ran it across the sheets. He thought about Ethan and Abby and all that he had done for both of them. He wanted to to scream but he knew that it would cause attention to his cell. He pulled the sheets of the bed, rolled them into one long strip and laid it on the floor. He starred at it for a solid 2 minutes before he made the decision. He was going to to do it. He took one end and intertwined it around the window bars. He took the other end and tied a loop knot around his neck. Before he stepped of the bed, he whispered to himself
"I love you Ethan, forever."
He stepped of the bed and hung there for the next 2 hours until the patrol came around again.
