"Shouldn't you be in bed? It's late Ellie come on" My father says to me as he heads to the kettle to make himself a drink. He looks at me as he leans his weight against the kitchen counter.

"I'm nearly done, I need this revision for tomorrow's exam" I say as I rub my head with my hands, frustrated with the work in front of me

"You've been revising for weeks, you need to look after yourself, too much revision can be bad for you"

"How would you know?, you never did any" I sarcastically say to my dad as he laughs and continues to make his coffee. Once's done he comes over to me and places a cupcake in front of me and kisses my forehead.

"Bed, now"

The morning soon arrived on the village and I was once again at the table studying for the exam today

"How about I make you my famous fry up?" He asked me 

I sighed and looked at my phone to check the time, "I can't I don't have enough time, I need to get to school"

Dad continued to look at his watch "Eliie, It's 8...School doesn't start for another hour plus you haven't had anything to eat at all, what did I tell you about looking after yourself"

"I know I know, I need to get to school early, Mr McQueen is helping me cram in some more revision"

"Okay fine, I'll see you later though okay?"

"Yes, Promise....See you later" I say to him as I leave the house

I was on my way to school and suddenly someone grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the road, I freaked out and tried to attack the person that grabbed me.

"Hey, Hey El its me" I hear the person say as I stop fighting in their arms, I look at him in shock

"J-Joel?" I ask him as I stare into his eyes

"Hi Sis"

"What are you doing here?"

"I want to be back with you and dad, I miss you guys, I miss home"

"Have you seen dad yet?" 

"No, I'm planning to, I saw you leave the house and I just wanted to see you and speak to you about everything"

"Look I wanna talk but I really need to get to school, Me and dad are going out for a meal later you should come with us"

"Yeah, I'd like that"

A few seconds of silence dawned upon us, "Are you okay?" Joel asked me with concern written all over his face "You look a bit pale"

"I'm good, just nervous for this exam I have today, that's all"

"You're gonna be okay, you'll smash it"
