I was sitting on a hospital bed, rethinking over everything that had happened, the door opened and knocked me out of my thoughts, I looked up and saw that it was dad, he sad down next to me.
"You okay baby?" He asked me
"I'm fine" I reply back
He hugged me, just as Joel walked in with Officer Ryan Knight
"Ellie, when you've got checked up and can leave, we need you to tell us what happened, are you okay to do that" Ryan asked me
"Yeah I'll come as soon as I can"
Ryan left and I turn to dad and Joel
"You two need to tell me exactly what happened between you and Shane" I told Joel and Dad
"Your Aunt Katy, you never really met her, maybe once or twice, he got her involved with drugs, he killed her" Dad told me
"That's why your after him" I said, everything finally clicking into place
"Yeah" Joel said
Tegan then walked in, "Good news, there's nothing bad, you've sprained your ankle, so we need to put a cast on it, apart from that your fine, your free to go once we sort out your ankle"
"Thank you" I said
Dad helped me get up from the hospital bed and I went with Tegan to get my foot done.
