The next thing I knew Brody burst in

"Hunters on the roof, Shane's got him" 

Me and Joel immediately ran, Brody following behind. Once we reached the roof of the Hospital I saw Shane pointing a gun at Hunter 

"Shane, please don't do this" I cried out 

Joel started to talk, "Shane listen, you don't want to do this, shooting your own son?, come on Shane give me the gun, now. It's not going to be worth it, please Shane" 

"Shane please" I begged him

"What I'm doing, it's for good reason, they don't know the truth" he said. 

I walked closer to Shane, his eyes watching me cautiously 

"DONT walk any closer, I'll do it" he shouted 

I put my hands up, showing him I'm no harm

 "I promise I won't, please Shane, don't hurt your son, he's done nothing wrong, we will listen, we will understand, please Shane" 

He was starting to realise what he was doing and started to put the gun down when all of a sudden dad opened the door quickly, scaring him. 

Shane shot his gun, all I heard was a loud bang.

I know in movie's and cringey books you read about how near death experiences make your life flash before your eyes, but I truly did. I saw me, dad and Joel being a happy family, like they both promised. I saw happiness, pain and hatred but I also saw hope, the tiny bit of hope. 

I soon came back to reality as I felt a sharp pain through my stomach. I looked down and saw blood. So much of it. I turned around to look at dad, Joel and Brody. They looked at me in panic as their eyes went down to the gunshot wound in my stomach. I collapsed but Joel managed to catch me in time. Everything was in slow motion. Everything went black.

Life ends quickly.
