Joel's POV :
I opened my eyes, I was surrounded by bricks and rubble. "Joel?" I heard dad call out 

"Yeah I'm over here" I called out and pulled out my hand for dad to reach, he pulled me up, both of us groaning in pain. 

"Are you okay?" He asked me 

"Yeah I'm fine where's Ellie?" I asked 

"Ellie!?" We both called out, looking around the room for her 

Ellie's POV.
My eyes slowly started to open, I heard my name being called, I felt my legs and arms being trapped by rubble. I lifted my head to see the mess around me, then I remembered, Shane. he was right next to me the gun still in his hands, I then felt a warm liquid drip down my leg. 

"El!" I heard Joel say 

"J-Joel" I croaked out 

"Dad she's over here!" I heard him say 

I heard and felt them trying to take the rubble off me they suddenly stopped, As if they saw something that shocked the both of them.

"Dad? Joel? W-what's wrong?" I asked 

"N-nothing" Joel managed to say

Joel's POV
We looked down on her, she was losing a lot of blood, was it even her blood?. I was frozen, dad was frozen, we didn't know 

"El, do you know if you've got a cut anywhere?" I asked

Ellie's POV
Just after Joel asked I scanned my body quickly,  I then felt a warm liquid drip down my leg, I looked down my body and saw the deep wound located on my leg.

"M-my leg" I managed to croak out, I heard someone bust down the door as it was blocked by lots of rubble, they then walked through the door.

 "You need to get out now!" It was Ryan

I then heard another voice 

"Guys are you okay?" It was Darren. 

"I'm not leaving Ellie!" Dad shouted as I felt him kneel down beside me

"Dad please, go" I looked up to the roof, "You don't have much time till this collapses. Dad, please I want you to be safe" I grabbed his hand 

"I'm not leaving you again El" 

I felt a sharp pain in my leg and I shrieked out in pain. 

"El! El, what's-"

"M-my leg it won't move" 

Shane started to wake up., he was right beside me

"Dad" I whispered while looking at Shane 

"It's okay, we just gotta get you out, Darren, Ryan and Joel are gonna pull the wreck off you, there's a big piece that's trapping and crushing your leg" 

"Okay" I said back

"Okay ready?...3...2...1" Darren instructed 

I screamed in pain as I held dads hand with a tight grip, he stroked my hand, trying to calm me down

"Okay El, I'm gonna lift you up"

"Okay" 

He slowly picked me up and put an arm around me to keep me supported. Ryan kicked open the door 

"Go!" He shouted 

We all left the loft and dad helped me down the stairs, When we got to the bottom dad sat me down and put his jacket around me. I then saw him look up back to the loft, I knew exactly what he was thinking. 

"I need to go back in" he said 

"Dad! You can't you could die in there" I pleaded

"He's not getting out of this the easy way" 

"Dad" Joel said in a warning tone, pleading him to stay with us

"Get something for her leg, I'll be back. I promise."

Joel soon came back with  a bandage to stop the bleeding for a while 

"He will be back" Joel said to me, trying to reassure me

"What makes you so sure?"

"That" He said while pointing up to the loft, I looked up, there he was, Dad with Shane. 

He came down and hugged me and Joel 

"Ow" I whispered 

"You alright?" Joel said 

"My leg you idiot" I replied, pushing Joel sarcastically

Dad chuckled 

"Come on" he said while lifting me up " let's get your leg checked" he said while putting my arm around him for support 

"Dad"

"Yeah" 

"I love you so much" 

"I love you too" He said back to me with a smile

"Quick someone else is in here!" We heard a fireman shout as multiple firemen ran back up to the loft

"What?" I said 

They put the person on a stretcher, I looked at who it was as they pushed them past us, Prince.

  "Prince?" I mumbled 

I started to walk over to him but dad stopped me, "There gonna do everything they can, they need to check up on you" 

"Y-yeah" I said
